Roush has an immediate opening for a Senior Automotive Body Mechanisms Engineer to join our team. The Senior Automotive Body Mechanisms Engineer is a design and release engineer for automotive body mechanisms and hardware. The role works on projects for large and small customers. The Senior Automotive Body Mechanisms Engineer packages, specifies, and designs various types of body hardware and mechanisms including door latches, hinges, handles, window regulators, wiper systems, seat mechanisms and other mechanical components. This position is located in Allen Park, MI.
Responsibilities
• Interface with and provide direction to CAD designers
• Participate in design reviews with other engineers and propose solutions to issues
• Present designs to customers and describe how mechanism or hardware designs will address customer needs
• Prepare supplier specifications for suppliers and work with them to design and provide appropriate hardware and mechanisms for the application
• Work with other engineers to achieve holistic design solutions for projects
• Create knowledge-based items specific to area of expertise
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive body engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience working with mechanisms and hardware
• Experience conducting presentations and management reviews
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

The Senior CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) Analyst executes CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and thermal simulation projects to solve real world engineering problems in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial industries. The Senior CFD CAE Analyst builds finite volume CDF (Computational Fluid Dynamics) models using commercial solvers and runs CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations.
Responsibilities
• Build finite volume CFD models for various applications in automotive, aerospace and industrial segments using commercial solvers such as Ansys Fluent or Star-CCM+.
• Run CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations to convergence, postprocess results, and provide engineering analysis.
• Present results to customers and develop detailed reports.
• Manage individual projects and communicate project progress to supervisor.
• Suggest innovations and process improvements.
• Lead junior engineers in the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) domain.
• Develop scripts for workflow automation.
• Manage analysis files according to Roush data-retention policies.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 6 years of CFD work experience or a master’s degree with a specialization in CFD, heat transfer and numerical methods and 4 years of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) works experience.
• Experience related to CFD simulation in aero-thermal, multi-phase flows or product development.
• Experience in commercial CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools such as Star-CCM+, Ansys Fluent or OpenFOAM.
• Practical experience with CFD codes and excellent grasp of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, finite volume methods and turbulence modeling.
• Proficiency with at least 1 programming language (C++, Java and/or Python)
• Knowledge of pre-processors such as ANSA and HyperMesh.
• Ability to communicate technical information verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and knowledge of basic engineering principles.
Preferred Skills
• Masters or Ph.D. degree in engineering, physics, or mathematics.
• Ph.D. candidate with a doctoral dissertation in CFD and heat transfer topics.

The role of the Entry-Level Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET)position is filled with exciting opportunities which will allow you to build on the fundamental skills which you have acquired thus far. You will be based at our home office in beautiful downtown Fort Lauderdale, FL where you will not only enhance your biomedical skills, but also develop and enhance your skills in receiving, processing, and preparing medical equipment and parts for installation and shipping. We have an amazing logistic team who will work as your counterpart to ensure all medical equipment and parts are processed quickly and accurately. Additionally, you will learn how to use one of the most advanced biomedical equipment maintenance software platforms on the market. Our data administration team will train you how to become an expert in the system which will become your pipeline for asset and maintenance data. You will enhance your ability to inspect, test, diagnose, and repair medical equipment. You will learn how to communicate with medical teams around the world to remotely troubleshoot and isolate problems. You will also be trained on the process of visiting customer locations including onboard the ships. Today’s environment has allowed for opportunity of broadening our capability of working remotely from our customer’s locations. VIKAND utilizes Microsoft Teams, One Drive, and other platforms which allow us to work efficiently and effectively from anywhere. You will work with a biomedical team who have a diverse knowledge but are spread throughout the world and utilizing the technology at hand you will be able to chat, video call, and attend regularly scheduled meetings with them.
This is a permanent, full-time position which requires the BMET to be present at VIKAND Mon-Fri 9am –5pm. The BMET must be able to come in early, stay late, and work a weekend when needed to meet a project deadline or handle a shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Work with the Biomedical Operations Specialists (BOS)to create, track, and modify biomedical asset records and work order sin the biomedical CMMS
•Perform asset tagging and inventory updates of customer spare equipment and parts
•Receive, process and stock parts and supplies
•Pull, process, and package parts, equipment and supplies for shipment and/or delivery
•Receive medical equipment from suppliers, process and prepare for customer delivery including asset tagging, data entry into the biomedical CMMS, work order creation, and initial PM service of the equipment
•Perform remote technical support, preventive maintenance& repair services (in-shop, locally, domestically within the US, and globally)through the performance of inspection, assessment, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment with some supervision
•Create and submit part requests to appropriate department
•Attend regularly scheduled meetings with clients as a team
•Work collectively with other team members to ensure all tasks are completed on time and correctly
•Unless traveling, the BMET must work from the VIKAND office as required
•Remote technical support may require responses outside of 9-5 hours. Therefore the BMET will be required to monitor email and Teams traffic and be reasonably available during evening and weekends
•Read and respond to technical support emails as quickly and accurately as possible.
•Preventive Maintenance & service visits routinely take place on weekends. The BMET must be available for weekend morning & afternoon services when required.
•Attend online webinars and other training opportunities when provided. Attend required meetings, biomedical and shipping training when provided
•Amount of travel required: up to 50%
•Undergo COVID-19 PCR testing prior to ship visits, and when traveling as per customer, CDC, local, state, federal, and other countries require.
Required Qualifications:
•1to3years on the job experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician
•Understanding of NFPA-99, TJC, AAMI, and other regulatory bodies and their regulations
•Basic understanding of AC/DC electronics and theories of operations of medical equipment
•Experience in using biomedical equipment test equipment
•Experience with the inspection, assessment, testing and calibration of Ventilators, Infusion Pumps, Syringe Drivers, Defibrillators, Patient Monitors, Patient Beds, and other biomedical equipment
•Basic experience in the packaging, labeling, and shipping of packages
•Experienced and proficient with Microsoft products to include but not limited to Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, & OneDrive
•Must work well with others in a team environment
•Must be able to complete tasks within appropriate time with limited supervision
