1.	Senior Lessons Learned Analyst Position (Fort Liberty, NC TS/SCI req’d) Ops or Intel Background
JSOC Senior Lessons Learned Analyst Position
The purpose of the Lessons Learned Program is to save lives, resources,
and time through aggressive global collection, analysis, outreach, and
dissemination of relevant U.S. Special Operations Forces observations,
insights, and lessons to the Special Operations Forces (SOF) warfighter
and Joint Community. *The best candidate will be a strong team player
with strong writing and research skills, and a background in operations
and/or intelligence analysis.*
Specific duties include:
Provide direct support for the Center for Counterterrorism Studies.
Assist with the collection, archiving, analysis, resolution, and
dissemination of observations, insights, and lessons learned. Use
systems within a collaborative environment to support the program
through proactive lessons learned sharing, peer review, and facilitation
between supported SOF elements and other stakeholders. Document special
project staff roles, responsibilities, organization and processes for
best practices and efficiencies that support the Commands Mission and
Vision. Leverage cross-functional military Services and government
agencies analytical studies and LL to recommend adjustments to JSOC
processes. Compile Before Action Reports, After Action Reports,
Executive Summaries, Post Activity Bulletins and Requests for
Information. Documentation shall be complete and include substantiated
findings and recommendations, consistent with a high level of quality
control and ready for distribution. The documentation shall also be
audience-specific and captured at the appropriate security level. Brief
and advise senior leaders and staff on lessons learned. Support and use
the Joint Lessons Learned Program database. Assist in the development
and refinement of the lessons learned database and query functions.
Brief and/or facilitate senior leader discussions on counterterrorism
topics. Conduct case studies as directed. Support the customer as
required and be willing to travel OCONUS.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
BS/BA degree
Five or more years of experience working at a senior analyst level in DoD
Five or more years of experience producing reports, studies, and white
papers
Five or more years of experience effectively communicating, briefing,
and working with senior leaders at a GO/FO level
Strong writing skills and ability to work well on a team
Desired Experience:
  * Masters degree
   * Ten years of experienceworking at a senior analyst level in
    DoD with directexperience in SOF operations
  * JSOC and Lessons Learned experience
Multiple years of working with GO/FO level senior leaders, with the
ability to briefing and engage
Ability to prepare collection plans and to collect data using direct
methods of interviewing and observation
Knowledge of SOF Command structure to enable targeted dissemination of
observations, insights and lessons for all operations
Ability to write detailed portions of studies and years of proven
writing ability with published articles, reports, and studies written at
a Masters Thesis level
Knowledge of Joint and SOF Doctrine and TTPs
Ability to use collaborative communications systems
