VOIP QA Tester Job Description:
TEKsystems is looking for a VOIP Test Engineer for a 6 month contract to
hire for our client downtown. This position requires 4+ years in testing.
Quality Center experience, strong communication and technical aptitude. VOIP
background a must. This position is called upon to work with other teams to
flow orders, provide additional testing support in intersystem testing and
UAT testing. There will be interactions with On-Shore and Of-Shore teams.

The City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) seeks a highly qualified candidate to serve as Director of Planning & Preparedness. This is a contracted position funded under the Department of Homeland Security’s Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) program. The position is currently funded for a two year term, with continuation dependent on future grant awards.
The Mayor's Office of Emergency Management coordinates the City's homeland security and emergency management programs. OEM's Mission is to enhance the City of Boston and Metro-Boston Homeland Security Region's capacity to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from major emergencies. Working in close partnership with Boston's public safety and public health agencies, OEM plans and prepares for emergencies, educates the public about preparedness, conducts training exercises and drills, and performs other services to support the City and Region’s overall preparedness. This position provides onsite support for the Medical Education and Training Center project in San Antonio Texas. Identifies utility requirements and provides utility data as required.
Develops procurement descriptions (sometimes referred to as specifications) for equipment to be procured.
Identifies vendors and provides three or more vendors for procurement whenever possible.
Produces catalog cuts (representations of products based on manufacturer’s literature).
Contacts vendors, identifies preliminary pricing information, vendor point of contact so that a solicitation or purchase order can be directed to a designated person or office.
Updates vendor files and catalog files in an automated system.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The supervisor is the Vice President of Contract Support. The supervisor assigns work in terms of overall procurement objectives to be accomplished. The employee, in consultation with the supervisor, establishes and executes a work schedule, insuring that necessary planning, coordination, approvals, negotiations and other requirements are met. The supervisor establishes clear priorities to achieve these goals. GUIDELINES

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Program Support Assistant
INTRODUCTION:
The Program Support Assistant provides administrative support to the Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) within the VA Hospital. The GRECC, in union with the University of Wisconsin, integrates geriatric and gerontological Research, Clinical, and Education/Evaluation. The incumbent functions as the lead support person and, as such, exercises a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ADMINISTRATIVE:
Provides overall administrative support to GRECC personnel. Provides general contact services referring callers and visitors to appropriate staff, service, or other government agencies for assistance, and providing information about the office, its functions and procedures, and clinical and research operations.
Processes incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication. Performs the following types of duties: drafts letters, memoranda, and reports, reviews correspondence for accuracy and completeness, assists with preparation of power point presentations, manuscripts, and research grants. Maintains a log of GRECC reports (e.g. annual report, education/ evaluation reports, clinical monthly reports, etc.) and due dates. Ensures completion of reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
Schedules appointments, meetings, and/or conferences for the GRECC Director and Associate Director/Clinical. Maintains electronic GRECC conference room schedule and equipment needed for weekly, monthly, and yearly meetings. Organizes/coordinates record keeping of such meetings and ensures recording of such information. Information is shared with affiliated University and used in a number of reports, including the GRECC annual report and the fellowship accreditation.
Assists with the acquisition of supplies, equipment, and services required by the GRECC. Obtains and monitors the use of services, supplies, or equipment for the office. Ensures office equipment (i.e. computers, projectors, copy and fax machines) is in working order and requests/maintains electronic work orders for repairs on all equipment.
Assists with the effective monitoring of GRECC funds by serving as an authorized purchase card user for GRECC expenditures. Ensures that all purchase requests are valid and in compliance with regulations. Independently selects items for purchase and makes contacts with vendors to complete all transactions. Serves as VA liaison for the Federal Express account.
Serves as ADPAC coordinator for GRECC Service, which includes requests for computers and programs, and placement and upkeep of such, and serving as liaison between GRECC employees and IRMS.
Works with clerical staff and students providing training on GRECC functions and procedures, and assures assignments are completed according to VA regulations and in a timely manner.
Incumbent is responsible for protecting electronic data from unauthorized release or loss and maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive information.
Participates in maintaining records to be used for the GRECC annual report and is responsible for collecting and inputting report data for submission to VA Headquarters.
Serves as timekeeper for GRECC personnel adhering to established policies and timeframes.
Coordinates travel to conferences for GRECC staff, makes travel arrangements, and instructs employees on travel protocols.
CLINICAL:
Coordinates/schedules patients for the Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) Clinic, the Geriatric Memory Research Clinic and the GEM Osteoporosis Clinic. This includes maintaining a database of consults sent to the clinic, scheduling appointments, disseminating appropriate paperwork, and interacting with patients regarding their appointments and guiding VA staff on the appropriate use of consults.
EDUCATION:
Serves as joint coordinator of the UW/VA Geriatric Fellowship Program. Incumbent works closely with the Fellowship Program Director and UW Section of Geriatrics and Gerontology staff to ensure the smooth operation of the Fellowship Program. Responsibilities include receiving calls, e-mails, and letters regarding the geriatric fellowship program, responding to candidate inquires, preparation and maintenance of ACGME accreditation documents and maintenance of fellowship program schedules and documents. Incumbent is also responsible for maintaining/updating the fellowship manuals and for orienting new fellows yearly to the VA/UW system, its regulations, affiliated clinics, rotations and schedules of fellows. Jointly coordinates schedules for on-going weekly educational conferences (e.g., core lectures, journal clubs, etc.), monitors sign-in sheets and evaluations and ensures completion of faculty/fellows and fellow/faculty evaluations and maintains filing system/records of such. This requires the incumbent to maintain a close working relationship with the University of Wisconsin Department of Medicine, the Sections of Geriatrics and Gastroenterology, and the UW House Staff Office.
Responsible for inputting training attendance of GRECC personnel and GRECC-sponsored conferences into the automated Training and Education Management Program (TEMPO).
RESEARCH:
Works closely with the AD/Research to ensure the research missions of the GRECC are met. This includes assisting with grant preparation, grant renewal submissions, manuscripts, power point presentations, handouts, conferences including arranging speakers, invited guests, program and brochures.
FACTOR 1: KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
Knowledge of the organization, functions and procedures of VA VISNs, the VA Medical Center policies and procedures, and the integrated organizational functions and procedures of the clinical, research, educational and administrative aspects of the GRECC.

Knowledge of government travel regulations and reimbursement procedures.
Knowledge of VA regulations relative to Geriatrics Fellows and Trainees.
Experience in grant and program application procedures for geriatric education, clinical, and research programs.
FACTOR 2: SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The position is supervised by the GRECC Administrative Officer. The incumbent works closely with the GRECC Management Team on the policies, objectives and their modifications and must be able to act independently under broad administrative direction.
FACTOR 3: GUIDELINES
VA regulations, manuals, local policy issues, Medical Center Memoranda, and JCAHO standards provide guidelines for the GRECC. In addition, the GRECC Program Guide provides information about general guidelines for GRECC goals, operations, and procedures. The incumbent uses these guidelines as a base but in some areas the incumbent must use own judgment to develop and modify guidelines where none exist.
FACTOR 4: COMPLEXITY
Considerable skill in decision-making and problem solving, knowledge of policies and procedures, good judgment and diplomacy are required to carry out the duties of this position. The incumbent must be able to change priorities as determined by workload and work must be organized so all deadlines are met.
FACTOR 5: SCOPE AND EFFECT OF WORK
