Position Description - Provide technical expertise, analysis and support for future and emerging ITW/AA, Missile Defense requirements and Theater Missile Warning development to the ITW/AA Functional Manager (Commander NORAD).

- Investigate specific missile event anomalies and support the resolution of performance issues.

Duties:



Management Analyst for the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of

the Army for Research and Technology (ODASA(R&T)), acting as Special

Assistant to the Director for Technology. The Director oversees a

portfolio of applied research and advanced technology development valued

at $1.7B annually. This position requires independent judgment and

knowledge of the organization and its mission and activities. The

position works closely with the Director providing confidential and

appropriate support for a member of the Senior Executive Service in a

fast-paced work environment.



This support will include, but is not be limited to advanced

administrative activities such as: receipt, assignment and coordination

of all daily actions, inquiries, and correspondence within Directorate;

development, review and staffing of briefings, memoranda, information

papers and reports within Directorate and amongst HQDA staff elements;

and Director and Deputy Director scheduling and preparation for all

stakeholder meetings and events in coordination with Executive

Assistant, including travel and other logistical preparations.







The position also provides action officer support to Director of

Technology, supporting her role as US National Representative to The

Technical Cooperation Program (TTCP) Weapons Group (WPN). This includes

tracking of TTCP WPN activities and coordination/ review of actions and

output at both the Group and U.S. Principal levels.

Explosive Devices (C-IED). These positions require a 12 month deployment to
beautiful Afghanistan in austere conditions. The contract will last 3 years. Required work is 72 hours per week (that is 12 hours a day for 6 days). Scope: The International Security Assistance Force/United States Forces - Afghanistan (ISAF/USFOR-A) Counterintelligence (CI) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Staff (CJ2X) provides coherence and synchronization of CI and HUMINT activities in the theater of operations to ensure CI and HUMINT requirements are anticipated and met through agile and responsive CJ2X operations executed by a unified Theater-wide CJ2X staff. The ISAF/USFOR-A CJ2X supports the Regional Commands' CI and HUMINT staffs and task force collection teams. The CJ2X operations deliver integrated CI and HUMINT effects throughout the Theatre while maximizing and integrating engagement activities with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. >ITT Corporation has submitted a proposal to the U.S. Army Corps of
>Engineers to perform the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) on Afghan
>National Security Forces (ANSF) bases throughout Afghanistan. In

>FINANCE MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY:
>Responsible for the management and supervision of accounting and
>financial operation in accordance with current policies, regulations
>and directives as mandated by Generally Accepted Accounting
>Practices (GAAP), U.S. Government cost Accounting Standards (CAS),
>U.S. Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and U.S. Joint Travel
>Regulations (JTR). The mission responsibilities include management,
>monitoring and control of a variety of payroll accounts payable,
>financial statements, financial report and detailed cost summary
>report, budgeting and analysis of cost growth or under runs.
>Establishes controls and conforms to approve financial budget for
>accounting and financial operations. Is also responsible for
>insuring that established goals and standards are achieved.

>MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
>Manages the U.S. finance and accounting department to comply with
>contractual requirements in such a manner as to effectively
>accomplish its mission.
>Develops and interface directly with the managers and supervisors in
>financial planning and budgeting, cost to complete, analysis of cost
>growth and way and means of controlling costs.
>Provides direction to managers on matters which have financial,
>accounting or auditing significance.
>Participates in the preparation or a variety of recurring and
>special accounting report and financial statements.
>Provides supporting data for contract charges, and assists in cost
>proposal development.
>Directs and supervises the day to day activities of the accounting
>staff and assures that functions are completed in accordance with
>Government and Corporate accounting standards, project policies.
>This includes IRS requirements for U.S. Corporate Income Taxes, U.S.
>withholding taxes, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
>requirements for depreciating Capital purchases and providing
>Company proprietary information to DCAA and ITT auditors.
>Performs daily management and supervision of accounting and
>financial workforce in performing work functions in preparation and
>processing of time sheets and payrolls, accounts payable, auditing
>expense vouchers and time sheets, reconciliation of financial
>statements, preparation and submission of contract cost and
>invoices, and the collection, compilation, verification, preparation
>and processing of Government and Corporate financial budget reports.
>Establishes policies and procedures for the accumulation of data
>required for the preparation and submission of one-time and
>recurring reports.
>Initiates corrective action or revision of internal methods or
>procedures, in accordance with regulations, directives and guidance
>to resolve problems, simplify operations and increase the efficiency
>and responsiveness of the Accounting Department. Complies with
>safety/environmental standards.
>Will be distributing and be accountable for cash.
>Performs other duties or assignments as required.
>WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
>Location in either Kabul or Kandahar, Afghanistan. Applicant must be
>able to meet strict physical fitness requirements defined by the
>Government Program Office and will be required at times to wear
>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE-ex: Kevlar helmet, body armor,
>etc).
