JOB SUMMARY: You will perform a wide variety of technical duties related to the design, maintenance, and repair of the City’s wireless communications, digital microwave, conventional, and Motorola SmartZone trunked radio system, mobile computers, global positioning system (GPS), data communications, and other electronic communication systems. You will help design and implement a variety of communications, fiber optic, telecommunications data, voice and video networks including microwave backbone, multiplexing, conventional and trunked radio, mobile computer, GPS, data communications, and other complex technical communication applications and systems. You will oversee a variety of computer networks and other software applications integrated with the radio networks using Windows NT/2000/XP and UNIX and ensure that the systems comply with licensure requirements. You will coordinate the frequencies the City uses with appropriate regulatory agencies; ensure that the City’s electronic communications services and operations adhere to FCC licensing requirements; inform City staff of potential violations; and assist with purchasing functions.
This position requires occasional weekend and evening work; the ability to safely climb communications towers up to a height of 300 feet to perform maintenance and repair activities; and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in electronic engineering technology or a closely related field. One year of responsible telecommunications technology, electronics, or other experience. A physical examination is required.
Certifications/licenses required for this position:
Upon hire: Valid Colorado driver’s license
Within six months of hire: FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. One year of experience with digital microwave, CentraCom consoles, and/or Motorola SmartZone trunked radio systems. Experience that demonstrates knowledge of communication tower construction and maintenance, and installation of communications equipment.

The Heavy Equipment Operator Lead supervises all Roads and Grounds operations which may include operating heavy equipment and medium trucks.

• Primary

The President of AMS is responsible for, but not limited to:

BACKGROUND:
The JIEDDO (Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization) COIC (Counter-IED Operations Integration Center) was established in August 2006 and directly serves warfighters' efforts to focus attacks on enemy networks employing IEDs. A vital Attack the Network initiative, the COIC is a disruptive change agent to energize the warfighter's ability to gain access to seemingly disparate information and data sources to create vital, common operating pictures. The COIC also provides an avenue for strategic reachback to collaborative, fused, multi-source analysis and innovation across critical DoD, government, industry, and academic organizations and agencies.
The COIC leverages existing information and provides strategic capabilities in support of offensive operations against IED networks. Through COIC's fused intelligence products, formerly highly classified intelligence is now available at the secret level, making it accessible to warfighters at the tactical level. The COIC's architecture of partnerships include more than 20 intelligence agencies and other federal agencies supporting this effort.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide expertise in Operational level military operations, intelligence, operations research/systems analysis, and operations-intelligence fusion and analysis to support deployed U.S. and coalition forces in Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) operations primarily in the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility but also other Combatant Command areas of responsibility as required and locations in the United States.
Candidates will provide All-Source, IMINT, HUMINT, MASINT, GMTI, and Geo-Spatial Analysis capabilities. The JIEDDO COIC CONOP requires that, for each deployed subject matter expert there will be supporting reach back capability working from the COIC, performing analytical and training reach-back tasks. While functioning in CONUS providing reach back support, the members work within Comprehensive Look Teams (CLTs), which focus on specific geographic locations or missions and integrate, fuse and produce operational C-IED analysis to respond to Requests for Support (RFSs) from deployed forces. The HSE Director will provide functional leadership for Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives within the Aleut family of companies. The overall goal of the position is to ensure that our HSE direction and support is consistent with our core priorities for safety and environmental stewardship.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (duties and responsibilities and percentage of time spent performing functions).
HSE Performance and Continuous Improvement – Implement Aleut’s safety standards/expectations and facilitate site-specific HSE management systems designed to significantly reduce employee injuries and illnesses. Work with Project Managers and Safety Managers to implement and institutionalize changes to continuously raise HSE performance and to integrate superior practices and high expectations into Aleut’s culture. Monitor, analyze and report facility and enterprise-wide HSE metrics including leading and lagging HSE metrics results to ensure continuous improvement.
Functional Excellence – Provide functional leadership to management at all Aleut locations. This includes ongoing direction, support, and consultation to management personnel at Aleut locations regarding safety, health and environmental issues. Evaluate and upgrade HSE capabilities through the implementation of standard selection practices and through recommended professional development and training programs.
HSE Training & Education – Determine common training needs and requirements for Aleut locations with a focus on maximizing the use of standardized training. With the coordination of Aleut resources at all locations, lead the identification, development, communication and implementation of training and education efforts on a variety of safety, health and environmental topics. Provide consultation, education and training for management on their role in reducing risks for the protection of employees and the environment.
Assessment and Incident Investigation – Conduct onsite audits and provide guidance on driving closure of resulting Corrective Action Plans. Ensure that all locations have a best-in-class process for immediate reporting and investigation of occupational illnesses and injuries, including prompt identification and resolution of recommendations for improvement, consistent with Aleut standards. Acts as the primary point of contact should a serious incident occur at our locations. Coordinates with locations to ensure incident investigations are completed, follow-up action taken and learning shared. Coordinate with the Director – Operations on Workers Compensation Management.
Regulatory Compliance Management & Consulting – Provides knowledgeable consultation to all locations on safety, health and environmental regulations, as well as related regulations. Interpret and provide information on laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures. Develop strategies to insure compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations and Aleut HSE policies and assist locations in the implementation of programs to address these requirements.
