Duties: The WG-10 maintenance mechanic performs a variety of tasks involved in the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and related structures, fixtures, and utilities. Typical work assignments include the performance of visual examinations and operational tests to determine the need for, and the performance of, repair work on a journeyman level of difficulty and responsibility of trades such as Electrician, WG-10, Pipefitter, WG-10, and Carpenter, WG-9. Maintains, modifies, troubleshoots and repairs power and lighting circuits, lighting fixtures, switches, timing devices, manual and automatic machinery control equipment. May be required to perform a variety of emergency work as on trouble service calls. Installs and maintains piping systems for air cylinders, hydraulic pumps, air motors, sprinkling systems, cooling systems, air washers, paint spray equipment, drying systems, filters, condensate return pumps, vacuum pumps and various types of air-space and hydraulically powered machinery. Sets boilers and installs valves, gauges, recording devices, radiators, heaters, pre-heaters, coolers, coils, automatic, controls, and safety devices. masonry construction and maintenance work on interior and exterior surfaces. Installs all types of composition floors, framing and fabrication windows and screens. Installs pre-hung doors and jams, interior and exterior trim. Applies paint, varnish, lacquer, and enamel to finished product. Patches holes in roofs, seals cracks and applies sealing compounds to repair leaks. Incumbent will be required to perform a variety of other duties common to the various maintenance trades related to structural, and mechanical, but all requiring less than journeyman level proficiency. These duties will occupy no more than 40% of any one employee's time.

Organization: This position is located in Region II, National Preparedness Division, New York, NY.
Primary Purpose: The incumbent serves the Deputy Federal Preparedness Coordinator (FPC) and is responsible for supporting the FPC and functioning as the first line supervisor in managing, directing, and supervising a staff composed primarily of preparedness program, technical specialists and subject matter experts.
Specific Duties:
• Assists the FPC to direct, coordinate and control the activities of the Region's protection and national preparedness employees in order to assure regional implementation of national preparedness programs, policies, goals and objectives.
• Provides liaison and coordination efforts within the regional preparedness community.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide professional and technical inputs to LSI proposals to be submitted to various Government departments and agencies. Specific duties include developing drafts of technical and non-technical proposal sections (e.g., management, past performance), development of proposal graphics, and performance of document editing and desktop publishing to prepare the documents for submission to the government.
Secondary responsibilities include editing and proofing of contract monthly reports, and other contract deliverables, as required.

SKILLS/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years' experience developing proposals within the government services market
• Ability to create graphics images using industry-standard graphics software applications (e.g., Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Design Standard CS4)
• Mastery of MS Office applications - particularly Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communications abilities
• Ability to work overtime (i.e., nights, weekends) as necessary to respond to proposal submission deadlines

Responsible for reviewing work of team members as related to reviewing, verifying, and validating SDLC documentation such as Software Requirement Specifications, Software Master Test Plans, and Software Version Descriptions. Examines documents prepared during the software development process to ensure technical accuracy, readability, and completeness and writes Technical Analysis Reports. Work with team members to proposes changes to satisfy documentation requirements, project objectives, and proposes updates to documentation to satisfy those requirements. Responsible for ensuring requirements traceability throughout all SDLC documentation including test cases and test results. Responsible for ensuring software requirements completely identify the functionality for the system and that all requirements have successfully been tested and have passed. Responsible for observing testing, understanding how testing is conducted and how to report results. Must be able to and responsible for team members writing technically accurate and detailed Software Test Reports. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and must have knowledge of IEEE standards and templates and CMMI. Will oversee and direct the work of others.

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

At least five (5) years experience in quality assurance in a software development environment.

At least four (4) years experience:

• reviewing, verifying, and validating SDLC documentation
• ensuring requirements traceability throughout all SDLC documentation
• writing technical reports that are technically accurate, complete, and correct

Requires approximately 5-10% travel. Work will be performed at USPS Engineering in Merrifield, VA.

Serves as the USSOCOM SOF Response Cell (SRC) Operations Planner in a team of Subject Matter Experts (SME) supporting the Joint National Training Capability (JNTC). In this capacity the incumbent will play a key role in bringing SOF context to joint service exercises
Responsibilities:

Functions as a SOF consultant to Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) on matters relating to SOF/conventional integration issues.
Develops SOF specific plans and scenarios for implementation into JNTC programs.
Assists in planning, organizing, and coordination of USSOCOM Component Command participation in accredited JNTC Programs.
Determines and validates SOF requirements in support of (ISO) JNTC programs.
During program execution role plays the CJSOTF Operations Officer/Planner.
Assists in the integration of USSOCOM Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTD) within JNTC programs.
Represents USSOCOM to the US Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC) as the functional SME on matters pertaining to SOF integration with conventional forces.
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and leads the development of Realistic Urban Training (RUT) scenarios and represent USSOCOM to state and local government officials during training development/execution outside of federally owned property.
Develops, prepares, staffs, and publishes administrative/exercise documents and reports.
Assists with exercise execution, decision making, and scenario control.
Assists in scenario development and refinement using current/evolving doctrine and training audience feedback.
Conducts research on current world situation and analysis of training manuals, lessons learned, and tactics, techniques, & procedures (TTPs) to prepare training objectives for small unit operations.
Develops and manages a library of scenarios that can be distributed and used as a component of JNTC objectives.
Responsible for developing training support packages (TSPs) (to include game based simulation, collaborative tools, and technical materials) available for exercise scenario support to approved JWFC Simulation Centers & operational units.
Develops and maintains budget requirements when performing duties as a SRC Program Lead.
Qualifications:

Former SOF Officer or senior NCO with at least 10 years of SOF experience (required).
Well versed in JSOTF operations, SOF doctrine and TTPs (required).
Working knowledge of JADOCs, C2PC, PFPS, Falcon View, JMTK, IWS, MIRC, SOF Tools, SOMPE, and additional mission planning, collaborative, and computer based simulation capabilities (highly desired).
Familiar with exercise planning and execution including the development of training scenarios and Master Scenario Events Lists (MSELs) (highly desired)
Graduate of Command and General Staff College or Senior NCO Academy (required).
