Catalent Pharma Solutions - Position Description

2. Position Title: Calibration Engineer FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Facility Manager Band: 12

I. Position Overview:

Catalent is a leading provider of advanced technologies and outsourced services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consumer health industry. Catalent develops, manufactures and packages pharmaceutical and other products for customers in nearly 100 countries, employs approximately 10,000 at more than 30 facilities worldwide and generates more than $1.7 billion in annual revenue.

The Catalent-Middleton site engineers CHO cell lines using the proprietary GPEx technology. These cell lines are used in our manufacturing processes to manufacture proteins for specific indications as requested by our clients.

The position will be responsible for supporting the calibration efforts for the Catalent-Middleton site. This position will complete calibrations, complete required paperwork, create procedures and trouble shoot. Perform requalification work for incubators, freezers and other equipment. May draft and execute validation protocols and calibrations outlined in the various protocols (IQ/OQ, PQ) and SOPs. Additional roles may include design, fabrication and install manufacturing equipment, trouble shooting equipment, and maintaining the GMP and Non-GMP calibration system (equipment databases). Use judgment within generally defined guidelines to identify solutions to problems. Interact with management at Catalent Pharma Solutions. Interact with other departments to schedule activities around the production schedules of the cGMP manufacturing and process development departments.

II. Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
• Execute calibration procedures on various process instruments, such as pressure gauges, RTD, etc. Perform routine requalification’s (temperature mapping, etc.)
• Manage/maintain the calibration/maintenance databases (GMP and non-GMP).
• May draft, review, approve and execute validation protocols (IQ/OQ and PQ).
• Draft calibration Standard Operating Procedures.
• Schedule self and contractors around Operations activities.
• Recommend calibration tolerances on various process instruments. Serve on various project teams for equipment purchases, facility build-out/modifications.
• Train Catalent biotech staff in calibration procedures. Recommend purchase and/or purchase instruments.
• Recommend facility improvements to meet OSHA safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

III. Position Requirements:
Education :
• B.S. or equivalent in engineering or closely related field with 3-5 years of calibration experience
• A.A. degree in electronics or closely related field with at least 5 years of electronics and calibration experience
• Calibration and/or validation training

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Familiarity with cGMP regulatory requirements for biopharmaceutical manufacturing
• Prior experience in construction of cGMP manufacturing facilities is beneficial
• Familiar with NCSL best practices is a plus
• Knowledge of PLC programs and ladder logic is a plus
• Knowledge of GMP regulation, 21 CFR parts 210 and 211, EU regulations and ISO Standards
• Prior validation experience is a plus
• Prior knowledge in drafting calibration SOPs and executing calibration procedures
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Detail oriented.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English

Working Conditions and Environment:
• Travel less than 5%.
• Work weekends and overtime based on work load
• Requires lifting and climbing on a limited basis
• Act as a back up to the maintenance department in response to facility alarms,
occasionally on call

ALL SOURCE INTELLIGENCE ANALYSTS

The All Source Intelligence Analysts shall conduct detailed all source intelligence analysis and prepare Target Intelligence Packet using systems ranging from Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) to TS-SCI. Responsible for providing intelligence support to targeting activities throughout the OEF-TS Theater in support of Counter Terrorism (CT) activities and the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT).

PRIMARY CAPABILITIES:• Develop , finalize and implement a Collection Plans/Intelligence• Collection with minimal supervision• Must be capable of, multi-disciplined target research and analysis; develops specific, detailed Operational data.• Must understand intelligence requirements in order to support, Targeting Officer, Military Source Operations (MSO) manager, Reports Officer, and Information Operations (IO) Officer on all issues as they relate to Targeting.• Must have thorough knowledge of common intelligence analytical tools; analyst notebook, SIPR and JWICS Google, M3 search engine, Icreach, Coliseum.

Our web development environment uses an Eclipse IDE sitting on a JBoss server using Java open source coding and related plug ins. SoapUI is used heavily for testing, along with JUnit tests. Web services are used to connect the legacy database, using Hibernate, with the front end GUI applications. These front end web applications consist of purchased applications as well as in-house developed applications using Seam, RichFaces, and DojoX. Backend processes are developed using Unix scripting languages such as Perl. We also have applications where local persistence is done on an Oracle database using tools like Toad.

The existing legacy CIS system is a custom built 3-tiered client server application running across Sun Solaris Unix, Windows 7 and Windows 2010 operating systems. The custom built architecture code is written with C, C++, Perl, Bourne shell scripts and Sybase Open Server. The primary database is Sybase, and a majority of the application batch code is written in COBOL while the online code is written in C.

Knowledge & Skills
Qualification in the UH-1N/ST is required prior or incident to assignment. Branch 15 MOS series (152C preferred) or other military or commercial equivalent is required. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Pilot-in-Command and Maintenance Pilot flight evaluation. Individual must demonstrate proficiency in understanding aircraft systems, components, and operations. Must be familiar with and demonstrate knowledge of aircraft systems, DoS Directives, Contractor maintenance procedures, Quality Control and Production Control Operations. Individual must possess a thorough knowledge of FAA and ICAO regulations pertinent to the host country and operational requirement. Possess, or ability to obtain and maintain a DoS Secret Security Clearance as a condition of continued employment; an active DoS Secret Security Clearance preferred. Will be responsible for maintaining weapons qualification with the Glock 9 and M4. Must possess a current US passport or the ability to obtain one before assignment

Principal Accountabilities
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Mission is to provide aviation support services in Iraq for Air Transport, Reconnaissance and Security, Casualty Evacuations, Quick Reaction Forces to respond to incidents, for Chief of Mission personnel or other personnel required by U.S. Government Authority to conduct official business. Mission tasks may also require aerial gunnery and escort of ground forces. Applicant will be required to fly both single and multi-ship day, night, and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) missions; primarily under visual meteorological conditions. Applicant will be required to maintain NVG currency and Instrument proficiency. The successful applicant will perform duties as a Pilot, Pilot-in- Command, Air Mission Commander, Flight Lead, or Lead Pilot. The Lead Pilot will assign other tasks as required.
