3. Strategic Communications Liaison Officer (OCONUS)

Responsibilities

Description

SUMMARY
This senior-level, highly visible, position is responsible for project managing one or more critical modules for Cymer's EUV family of products
(its most advanced light source). A critical module is defined as a top-level grouping of sub-assemblies and their associated controls that when
integrated perform a critical functional role such as power delivery or far field imaging. He/she will report to the VP Program Manager who is
responsible for integrating the entire product and ensuring its readiness for commercial success. He/she will coordinate the cross-functional module
development activities of the Research, Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supplier Development organizations through various processes and forums
including Cymer's product development process (PDP). A very important aspect of this role will be the outsourcing of design responsibility and/or
manufacturing to strategic suppliers. Responsibilities include management of design teams, risk analysis, resource management, budget management, COGS
modeling, Design to Cost target setting, critical path analysis, definition of scope, work breakdown structure, schedule, project review, design reviews
and PDP gate exits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Directs the engineering activities within a major module (subassembly). Examples of modules: Laser source, Collector, Droplet
Generator and Chamber. Responsibilities may span two overlapping generations of the EUV product family which may mean reporting to two
Executive Program Managers.
* Will be the company's authority on the project status for the module they are responsible for.
* Directs engineering project leads that are responsible for specific design projects within the module/subassembly.
* Works with Systems Engineering to convert technical concepts into requirements, specifications and project plans.
* Participates in road-mapping advancements in the module development
* Creates, tracks, and ensures schedules, budgets, costs, performance

responsible for the portions of the PDP phase gate exit that are specific to his/her module
* Directs the effective usage of the Design Review Process within the program's engineering team and facilitates necessary approvals.
* Assesses and highlights risks and develops mitigation plans.
* Proactively communicates issues and manages the solution paths.
* Ensures good cross-functional communication (through effective meetings, email, and other means) to ensure coordination between development
activities.

Qualifications

* Experienced at following a formalized product development process through a complete engineering release to volume manufacturing.

One full year of specialized experience. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) Field Support Engineer (FSE) will provide the 2nd Infantry Division with support of the ASAS-All Source component of the DCGS-A, Army Division and Corps Analysis and Control Elements (ACE). The FSE will support mission, training and exercise support in the Korea. The DCGS-A FSE serves as a member of a globally distributed team that fields, repairs, integrates, and maintains client and server systems for the DCGS-A Programs. DCGS-A systems are a diverse mix of software and hardware solutions designed to meet challenging intelligence processing, exploitation, and dissemination requirements for the Army at war. DCGS-A features unique data scalability requirements and allows for a flexible system evolution.
Engineers working on the program are required to solve hardware and software challenges across three different fielded hardware and software baselines. The engineer will identify server and client hardware and software faults, create solutions, and then test solutions in often demanding field environments with little or no remote support. The DCGS-A FSE will interact with a wide variety of systems implementations on a single customer site, including Virtualized Machines (VMs) running on a variety of different hardware platforms.
The successful candidate will have extensive software, hardware, and network troubleshooting experience. The candidate will able to install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based operating systems and software on client and server machines. Candidate will have project engineering experience and familiarity with remote system administration software, networking principles. They will also have exceptional oral and written communications skills and ability to work independently, with minimum direction; creative problem solver able to quickly devise, test, and implement solutions, and a self-motivated and results-focused mindset is a must.
Camp Red Cloud is located in Uijongbu City. CRC covers around 170 acres of land in the northwestern edge of Uijongbu City. Camp Red Cloud is located between Seoul and the DMZ. Camp Red Cloud is home to the 2nd Infantry Division headquarters, located about 40 km north of the capital city of Seoul. The Division is the most powerful and forward-deployed division in the US Army. The Camp population was approximately 1,600, with 1,200 being US military personnel, 60 being civilians contracted to the Depatment of Defense and 340 being classified as "other." Its climate features included, on average, summers between 80 and 90 oF, winters between -5 and 30 oF, and 48-56" of rain during a rainy season between July and August.

Job Duties and Responsibilities The Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) Field Service Representative (FSR) serves as a member of a globally distributed team that fields, repairs, integrates, and maintains client and server systems for the DCGS-A Programs. DCGS-A systems are a diverse mix of software and hardware solutions designed to meet challenging intelligence processing, exploitation, and dissemination requirements for the Army at war. DCGS-A features unique data scalability requirements and allows for a flexible system evolution.
Engineers working on the program are required to solve hardware and software challenges across three different fielded hardware and software baselines. The engineer will identify server and client hardware and software faults, create solutions, and then test solutions in often demanding field environments with little or no remote support. The DCGS-A FSE will interact with a wide variety of systems implementations on a single customer site, including Virtualized Machines (VMs) running on a variety of different hardware platforms.
The successful candidate will have extensive software, hardware, and network troubleshooting experience. The candidate will able to install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based operating systems and software on client and server machines. Candidate will have project engineering experience and familiarity with remote system administration software, networking principles. They will also have exceptional oral and written communications skills and ability to work independently, with minimum direction; creative problem solver able to quickly devise, test, and implement solutions, and a self-motivated and results-focused mindset is a must.
Workload Distribution:
60% of time spent solving hardware/software challenges (creating software scripts, integrating the system components, and performing GIS or DBA technical support)
25% of time working through installation procedures
10% of time solving hardware/networking issues
5% of time coordinating and arranging necessary customer support
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in Computer Science preferred. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 9+ years of experience in information technology operations or system repair required. Additional technical certification preferred (A+, CCNA, RHCE, MCSA / E, Networks+).
Prerequisites: *** All applicants must possess a current Top Secret/SCI security clearance. ***
Desired Skills:
Experience with bare metal systems building and preparation.
Working knowledge of client and server software interaction including web-based application design, support, and integration, JAVA script creation, Oracle Databases, virtual operating systems, and creating and maintaining and intelligence software applications.
