The American Dietetic Association, the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, is seeking a Manager of Quality Management (Chicago, IL) that will support ADA quality management projects. The manager will organize the development of tools and resources supporting a quality culture of evidenced-based practice, such as focus area standards of practice and standards of professional performance. The manager will provide support to various committees and workgroups, and interact with various ADA committees related to the practice of dietetics. The manager will monitor national quality organizations such as the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), National Quality Forum (NQF), and AHRQ to identify potential opportunities for credentialed dietetics practitioners.

Responsibilities:
• Facilitate development of focus area standards of practice and standards of professional performance
• Facilitate and support quality related member committees (Scope of Dietetics Practice Framework Sub-committee, Quality Management Committee)
• Facilitate and advise ADA leaders, members and staff on quality management/performance improvement initiatives
• Monitor national quality organization, performance improvement and performance measure groups
• Lead development of quality management web site to assist members

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in food/nutrition or dietetics or related field required
• RD credential is required; board certified specialist in a food/nutrition specialty area preferred
• 4 – 5 years of relevant work experience
• Proven history of utilizing strong communication and negotiation skills to manage diverse opinions effectively
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of quality improvement, focus area standards of practice/professional performance and scope of practice issues related to credentialed food and nutrition practitioners
