Job Description
The Seal Coat Laborer coordinates the activities of all labor performance daily. The Seal Coat Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor at parking lots by operating one or several types of maintenance equipment. This position requires routine repair and maintenance of equipment in addition to other duties. The Seal Coat Laborer will communicate daily the project status with key stakeholders in the project. In addition, this person will ensure that all materials are installed per specifications for the project and all work is completed with Rose Paving standards.
Responsibilities
• To communicate daily with designated Project Manager assigned to a specific job.
• Take pictures of jobs (i.e. Warranties, Accidents)
• Ensure that proper signage is displayed at each jobsite and jobsite sign pickup.
• Make sure that vehicle inspections and pre-job checklist are being completed daily.
• Maintain and enter data on Job Sheet for material, equipment and labor for job costing of Seal Coat operations on a daily basis including matching material with work orders.
• Responsible for checking weather on daily basis.
• In charge of appropriate traffic control at job sites (signs, barricades, caution tape).
• Accountable for preventing the loading of company trucks that may result in overweight tickets.
• Ensures that all materials are installed to manufacturer’s specifications for product application.
• Complete all work within Rose Paving Co. standards.
• Evaluates situations and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crews.
• Acts as a problem solver to reduce work issues, and/or assists workers in solving work challenges.
• Estimates crews’ hours requirements for completion of assignments.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activity of other fieldwork.
• Builds customer relationships by introducing oneself to clients upon arrival to jobsite.
• Operates within budgetary constraints.
• Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies.
• Maintains a service and maintenance program on all equipment.
• Participate in company’s employee evaluation program.
• Follows all company policies (i.e. Drug & Substance Abuse Policy, Sexual Harassment)
• Encourages and initiates cross training when appropriate.
• Investigates continuing education opportunities for personal/crew development.
• Enforces personal and field safety protection while working (i.e. safety glasses, gloves, hardhats).
Requirements:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have broad understanding of Rose Paving's business and proven abilities in the areas of preparation and installation of Seal Coating, and a thorough understanding of Rose Paving's other services in the areas of Asphalt Repairs, Cracksealing, Catch Basin Repair, and Parking Lot Marking work.
• Must have ability to apply concepts of basic geometry.

Job Responsibilities: Will work in the connection with the operation, installation, setup and maintenance/repair of all electrical equipment used in connection with the TV broadcast station. Will troubleshoot specific equipment and work with systems layout and function. Duties will also include support of our News operation, Final Cut Pro editing, installation, service and repair of both apple and pc computers, along with other broadcast equipment.

Necessary Skills: Must have a understanding of television broadcast equipment, computers, computer networks and troubleshooting to component level. Must have a solid understanding of apple computers, Final Cut Pro, networks and server technology, with a “can do” work attitude. A. Crew Leader/Grounds Maintenance Aces (1 FT opening, $16.62 p/hr) San Diego
Job Duties: Responsible for supervising two Grounds Maintenance Job Coaches and a team of up to eight consumer landscape workers, and for finishing tasks that cannot be completed by the consumer work crews. Performs landscaping and ground maintenance work such as but not limited to trimming, cutting, pruning trees, shrubs, hedges and lawns, repairing irrigation and any other landscape/grounds maintenance equipment. Experience in working with people with disabilities or similar population (troubled youth etc.) preferred. Must be able identify and diagnose problems with plants, trees, and landscape materials and independently suggest a solution or plan of action to correct the problem. Basic knowledge of standard units of measure and math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, area, and square feet calculations. Must be able to operate lawn care machinery and to perform minor equipment repairs such as pull cord replacement, spark plug replacement, belt repair, and tension adjustment. Excellent leadership, verbal, customer service, and problem solving skills.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent with 1 year related experience and/or training working with persons with developmental disabilities. Complete criminal record clearance (through Department of Justice and FBI), and possess a current CPR/First Aid certification throughout the duration of employment. Able to transport consumers in an Arc’s vehicle.
B. Benefits Coordinator Human Resources (1 FT opening, salary TBD) San Diego
Job Duties: Responsible for managing the implementation, open enrollments and administration of The Arc of San Diego’s benefit programs, retirement plans 401(k), 403(b), 457(f); and other employee benefit plans. Processes 401(k) and 403(b) transmittal for each payroll, monitors retirement plan eligibility and coordinates necessary pay-off upon termination of vested employees. Conducts weekly site visits (minimum 2 hours). Prepares and coordinates annual 5500 IRS filings for all benefit plans. Distributes benefits election confirmation forms and initial COBRA notices. Job Duties: Responsible for providing support to managers by processing and managing the new hire process in a timely manner, creating and maintaining personnel files, and providing exceptional customer service. Ensures all HR files and databases are accurate and in compliance with state, federal and licensing agencies. Processes new hire paperwork, conducts pre-employment screenings, inputs results into HRIS and other HR Systems, and works with fleet dept to ensure all drivers are added and removed from the DMV pull program. E. Residential Lead Community Living Services (4 FT opening, $8.94 p/hr) Santee, Pacific Beach & Chula Vista
Job Duties: Provides continuous active treatment (i.e. personal care, activities of daily living) and supervision to all consumers and maintains a safe and clean environment through routine facility cleaning. Monitors consumer programs and personal needs by providing ongoing feedback to the Residential House Supervisors and/or QMRP, and assists consumers in meal preparation, house cleaning and personal hygiene. Oversees and verifies completion of consumer program and monthly data sheets in the Consumer Program Book in a timely manner, and assists Supervisor with safety drills (fire, emergency) and checks all facility alarms. Implements and documents programs for all consumers and transports consumers to and from social/recreational activities, and assists Residential House Supervisor w/weekly food and supply orders. Job Duties: Plans and provides group and individual instruction and job coaching in appropriate work skills and attitudes necessary for successful competitive employment to consumers working in group placement. Plans, organizes and provides learning experiences related to assigned subject being taught. Supervises consumers at the industrial site. Assumes shared responsibilities for verbal and written communications with subordinates, peers, co-workers, supervisors and other individuals both inter and intra agency necessary to serve our clientele effectively.
Qualifications: Verifiable graduation from high school or GED certificate and Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Training and experience should be in a relevant trade and/or vocational area with verifiable experience indicating an ability to instruct in the designated vocational area.
