Billet Description: This individual will be a part of a multi-instructor
workforce providing advanced training and operating advanced ship-handling
simulators to support normal, abnormal, and combat learning objectives for
crews serving aboard Littoral Combat Ships (LCS). They will also assist in
the development and maintenance of course, including qualifying as an
instructor. They will report to and coordinate their activities with the
Lockheed Martin Lead instructor at the LCS SBT.
Required qualifications: 4-7 years commissioned USN, USCG (completed 2
Division Officer Sea tours), or qualified as Underway Officer of the Deck
(OOD), and possess the ability to build, edit, and modify tracks in Voyage
Management Systems (VMS).
Preferred experience: Recent, relevant deployed experience (anti-piracy ops,
counter drug ops, MIO, 5th fleet) LCS or High Speed Vessel, VMS/ECDIS-N, and
Advanced Radar Plotting Aide (ARPA)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Four years of maritime or bulk oil transportation experience,
three years of which must have involved bulk oil transportation or
inspection activities in a marine environment. Bulk oil transportation
activities include experience working at a marine oil terminal or working
with vessel oil transfer systems. Inspection activities include performing
marine safety inspections or conducting third-party inspections of bulk oil
transfers. AND
Education: Equivalent to completion of two years of college including course
work in marine transportation, engineering, environmental sciences, public
administration, business administration, or a related field. (Additional
qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a
year-for-year basis. Possession of a valid Unlimited Tonnage Master, Chief
Mate, Second Mate, Third Mate, Chief Engineer, or First Engineer Merchant
Marine License may be substituted for the education requirement.) AND
Possession of a valid driver's license of the appropriate class issued by
the Department of Motor Vehicles. Applicants who do not possess the license

THE POSITION
This is the entry and first journey level for the series. Under general
supervision, incumbents perform the majority of the routine fieldwork in
support of the California State Lands Commission's pollution prevention
program. Typical tasks include monitoring oil transfer operations at onshore
and offshore marine facilities; assisting in scheduling, conducting, and
reporting on annual and spot inspections; assisting with review of training
and certification programs; conducting initial oil spill inquiries and
reporting observations; maintaining current schedules of tank vessel and
qualifying ballast water vessel arrivals; documenting and verifying
compliance with State and Federal pollution prevention regulations; briefing

Qualifying experience may be combined on a proportionate basis if the

distinguished as "Either I, or II, or III," etc. For example, candidates
possessing qualifying experience amounting to 50% of the required time of
Pattern I, and additional experience amounting to 50% of the required time
of Pattern II, may be admitted to an examination as meeting 100% of the
overall experience requirement.
Either I
Experience: Two years of experience in the California state service
performing the duties of a Marine Safety Inspector.
Or II
Experience: Four years of progressively responsible maritime or bulk oil
transportation experience, or experience in a marine-related environmental
program, two years of which must have involved bulk oil transportation or
inspection activities in a marine environment. Bulk oil transportation
activities include experience working or directing the work at a marine oil
terminal, or working or directing work with shipboard cargo transfer
systems. Inspection activities include performing or directing others

most complex or highest priority oil transfer operations; overseeing and
monitoring of ballast water program elements; inspecting pipelines and
monitoring of pipeline testing; analyzing various test results and data;

engineering personnel on routine engineering audits, mooring assessments,

The candidate is required to maintain, service, and overhaul aircraft
engines and engine components to ensure airworthiness. Repairs, replaces and
rebuilds aircraft engines and related components of moderate difficulty,
such as installation and removal of QEC gear, replacement of FMU, Fuel
Controls, gear boxes utilizing hand tools and power tools as required to

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Assist Property Book Analyst ensuring units have accurate Personal Property lists.

• Review supply documentation created during the process to ensure accuracy.
• Assist Construction Coordinator in the inventory and identification of real property; Prepare DD Form 1354s in order to facilitate transfer of real property when required.

Requirements: E-6 or above with Aviation Maintenance background in the Turbo prop field (C-130, P-3, etc.) and strong leadership skills. Great fits for this position are former Flight Engineers and Trainers for the Military on Turbo-prop aircraft maintenance. Job Summary
Supervise train crews on a freight train and coordinate switch engine crews. Place cars to facilitate loading and unloading and the makeup and breakdown of trains in a rail yard, industrial plant, or similar locations.

Training
You will attend six weeks of training at the Railroad Education & Development Institute (REDI) in Atlanta, GA. CSX will pay for travel, lodging and meals. You will complete an additional 8-22 weeks of on-the-job training at your assigned location as required by collective bargaining agreement.

Purpose:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assigns and monitors work and assists with training of technicians and installers.
2. Diagnoses and corrects the most complex systems and equipment problems.
3. Assists in establishing procedures.
4. Performs direct and general support (DS/GS) level maintenance and repair on special electronic devices, including: night vision equipment, mine detectors, scattering systems, electronic distance and azimuth orienting devices.
5. Performs test, measurements, and diagnosis equipment to determine the cause and location of malfunctions, extend of faults, and category of maintenance required.
6. Repairs systems, equipment and subassemblies by adjusting, aligning, repairing and replacing defective components.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience:
a. 3-4 years’ experience in the Electronic Maintenance Field.
b. Must have extensive experience with TMDE, to include ANIGRM-122, NVG test set, millimeters, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
c. US Military School-trained in MOS 35/94E or 94F. Experience with Night Vision/Thermal devices, Blue Force Tracker, NBC equipment, and vehicle communication installations.
Specialized knowledge and skills:
a) Must be able to navigate through and understand the use of complex Army technical manuals.
b) Must be able to use test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE), i.e. AN/GRM-122 Radio Test Set, to determine the cause and location of malfunctions, extent of faults and the level of maintenance required
