This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly, entry level position.
We have an engine lathe machinist position available on day shift at the ADM Mechanical facility, 2100 N Jasper Street in Decatur Illinois. Candidates shall have experience using engine lathes to make parts with tight tolerances. There will be no out of town traveling and overtime will be worked as needed.
Job Description:
1) Sets up and operates engine lathe to perform machining, such as turning, facing, boring, and threading on rotating metal castings, forgings, and bar stock, to machine tool, die, or machine parts, analyzing specifications and deciding on tooling according to knowledge of metal properties and lathe operation: Studies blueprint or layout on work piece to visualize machining to be done, and plans sequence of operations.
2) Selects method of holding work piece according to its size and shape and installs holding fixtures, such as chuck jaws, collets, arbors, and mandrels, to headstock or tailstock, using clamps or wrenches.
3) Lifts work piece manually or with hoist, and positions and secures it in holding fixture or between centers, using clamps and wrenches, and verifying position with measuring instruments, such as calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
4) Selects feed rate, cutting speed, depth of cut, and cutting tool for each operation, according to knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.
5) Positions and secures cutting tool in tool holder on cross-slide or tailstock.
6) Moves controls to set cutting speed and feed rate and to position tool in relation to work piece.
7) Starts machine and turns hand wheels to feed tool to and along work piece, or engages automatic feed
8) Turns valve handle and directs flow of coolant against tool and work piece.
9) Verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as micrometer, calipers, and depth gauges.
10) May operate large engine lathe to machine large objects.
11) May offset position of tailstock to machine tapered surfaces.
12) May mount gears, move levers, and engage threading dial to machine threads, using knowledge of thread cutting.
13) May machine teeth on cutting tools, or duplicate contours from templates or models, using relieving or tracing attachments.
14) May operate bench grinder to sharpen tools.

This position is ideal for an individual interested in providing direct support to the Management, Operations and Support Services (MOSS) Director in managing, operating and maintaining the National Emergency Training, Center (NETC). This position starts at a salary of $105,211.00 (GS-14). Job Description:
As a SOF Integrator you will be providing operations advice to SOF commanders and staff on all activities with regards to planning and synchronization of effort of JIEDDOCOIC support to deployed SOF elements. Coordinate SOF requests for JIEDDO-COIC support with other JIEDDOCOIC deployed assets and the JIEDDO-COIC. Job Description:
The Space Systems Analyst needs to be able to perform cost benefit analyses, as well as computer analyses using existing models and techniques as well as first-principles sciences and engineering. Furthermore, statistical analyses and other scientific/mathematical techniques will be required to supplement the potential deficiencies in existing models and methodologies. SPACE SYSTEMS ANALYSIS
Assist in the assessment of issues such as: operational impact of space systems, the need date for the system, and the effects of constellation size on utility.
• Apply existing computer models to various configurations of GPS NAVSTAR, Milstar, DSCS, DMSP and future weather satellites, SBIRS, the Space Tracking and Surveillance System, and other infrared sensor programs to be determined
• Provide detailed analysis and modeling of the mechanical and electronic characteristics of satellites and their payloads in relevant natural and manmade radiation environments
• Use STK, GSAT, POCET, and other existing coverage models, and modify and/or supplement these coverage models as needed
• Use the SLING model, or another similar model, for analyzing satellite constellation availability, and shall implement modifications and improvements

49. Field Service Representative DIVAS (Afghanistan)
Deploy, operate and maintain the DIVAS system capability in support of Mobile Interrogation Modules. Coordinate with the Country Lead and Government Customer to execute a set of standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on the local commander's intent. Establish appropriate support for ongoing needs and develop contingency plans for downsizing and/or re-deployment in concert with Army Scheme of Maneuver.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Set up deployment of the interrogation facility equipment if not already deployed.
• Preparation and updating of a master schedule for each interrogation module including deconfliction of priorities.
• Support for operation of the interrogation facility including executing standard operating procedures for initiating and terminating recording.
• Continuous fault monitoring and improvement of the capability to maximize uptime.
• Proactive maintenance to include assessment of storage facilities, operating system performance, and operating system and software tuning.
• Execution of data backup plan to support daily, weekly, and monthly incremental backups with offsite storage as defined by the customer.
• Execution of COOP and surge support procedures to support power outages and evacuation orders.
• Nightly clean-up to include verification of backups and closeout of facilities.
Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of various stand-alone Local Area Networks (LANs) in isolated locations for a demanding Government customer in a fast-paced, austere environment. Routinely involved in pulling and the termination of Cat5e/Cat6 UTP and STP cable. Knowledgeable in variety of equipment including, but not limited; to fixed and Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) IP and Analog camera systems, Digital Video Recorders (DVRs)/ Network Video Recorders (NVRs), switches and passive hubs, baluns, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), Infrared (IR) illuminators, Integrator, digital and analog audio devices, JPEG/ MPEG-4/ H.264 compression, Power Over Ethernet (POE), and TCP/IP protocol. Design, install, maintain multiple systems for mobile expeditionary units to include standalone or connected. Develop SOP and instruct customer (military/civilian) in the use of client computer based Audio/Video Software to include live viewing, recording, storage, search/retrieval of audio and/or video files.
