• Shall be responsible for validating new and existing Engineering Technical Solutions.

Summary:

Qualifications

Job description:
Progrexion is looking for an Information Security Engineer to join our Information Security team to ensure that our applications and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest standards thus maintaining and enhancing customer trust. If you enjoy analyzing threats to system services, operating systems, networks and applications from a security perspective, and you are skilled at discovering security issues that appear under new threat scenarios, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity.
Responsibilities:
•Assist with the Identification and resolution of security threats.
•Assist with the development of security standards, policies, and processes and metrics.
•Monitor and respond to security related events.
•Report on security events, and user activity.
•Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.
•Implementation and administration of security solutions.
•Understanding of firewalls (Cisco ASA and Palo Alto preferred)
•Must have strong analytical skills in addition to excellent communication and a solid understanding of business practices.
•Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training.
•Evangelize security within the company and be an advocate for customer trust.
•Participate in compliance programs.
Desired Skills and Experience:
•Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
•Three years of information technology experience with at least one year in an information security related role
•Must be able to adapt and learn new concepts and new products as well as possess strong troubleshooting and analytic skills
•Understanding of networking and TCP IP Principles
•Understanding of endpoint security controls
•Understanding of Web Filtering
•Understanding of encryption and data loss controls
•Strong understanding of Windows and AD Domain Administration
•Understanding of Application Security or OWASP framework
Desired Skills:
•Working knowledge of securing and administering network devices and operating systems a plus
•Working Knowledge of vulnerability testing desired
•Experience with log management tools such as Splunk or SIEM tools a plus
•IDS/IPS Experience with Snort, and Suricata or other tools desired
•Working knowledge of databases a significant plus (SQL)
•Experience with scripting such as Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, or PHP is a significant plus
•Security related certifications desired (Security+, GIAC, CISSP, etc.)
