Candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years shipboard electrical experience. ELECTRICIAN HELPER D (095302) National City, CA Performs Duties at the discretion of lead worker. Duties include supplying or holding materials or tools; cleaning work area and equipment. Provides fire prevention actives for hot work operations. Pulling Cables as directed. ELECTRICIAN HELPER C-A (095305) National City, CA Working knowledge of shipboard electrical installation, troubleshooting, connectorization, hard wire hookup. TECH (ET-I) (096030) Middletown, RI The Engineering Maintenance Technician (Engineering Technician I) performs technical preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed to repair and maintain test equipment. Their work responsibilities will include the preventive maintenance of test equipment, jigs, and test fixtures, including electrical/electronic, fiber optic, and mechanical repairs. FINANCIAL SYSTEMS ANALYST I (096317) Middletown, RI The Financial Systems Analyst I provides financial and bookkeeping support in an office, usually to a manager, and, in some cases, also to the subordinate staff of the manager. They have the ability to work independently, receiving a minimum of detailed guidance, to generate regular and ad hoc reports, maintain databases, and work with other financial/management staff to create, track, and analyze financial budgets and expenditures. Must possess at least three (3) years professional experience in accounting, finance, or another relevant field. MACHINIST (Outside) (096639) Portsmouth, VA Remove, repair, overhaul, install and align main propulsion machinery and associated equipment/components. Also remove, repair, overhaul, install and align equipment associated with auxiliary systems such as condensers, compressors, pumps, forced draft blowers, main feed pumps, various types of valves, cargo handling machinery, anchor handling gear, boat davits, cranes, elevators, conveyors, fire fighting equipment, machine shop equipment, galley, and laundry equipment. MAINTENANCE TRADES HELPER (096631) Portsmouth, VA Must have passed NNSY CDT Training for Forklift Operators. Demonstrate the ability to perform a full range of loading and unloading materials aboard naval ships, up and down ramp, maneuvering on piers, hanger bays and flight decks. Demonstrate the ability to perform tasks such as load and unload material skids and trucks, and safely operate up to a 36K capacity forklift. Forklift and/or Aerial Platform Operators shall have a minimum of six (6) months of forklift operation experience. Forklift and/or Aerial Platform Operators shall have documentation of private sector Forklift and/or Aerial Lift License. PAINTER JOURNEYMAN (096615) San Diego, CA The painter shall determine methods, techniques, devices and materials that are best suited to prepare paint finishes to specifications, such as finishes that must meet specified thickness and levels. Prepares surface to be painted by methods such as chipping and sanding. Applies coats of epoxy, polyurethane, standard marine finishes, and/or other sophisticated marine finishes. PIPEFITTER (096633) Portsmouth, VA Candidate must have the knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to fabricate modify, repair and assemble various piping and support structure installation in all types of fluid systems, drain systems, and wave guides in connection with ship alteration and repair. This position is for first, second and third shifts onboard various surface and subsurface vessels at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. The candidate must have a Secret DoD clearance at time of hire. Candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years experience in pipefitting in the ship repair industry or naval shipyards. PRICING ANALYST (095868) Norfolk, VA The Pricing Analyst will perform price build up including direct and indirect costs and fee in order to develop pricing to be submitted to customers. This person will review and analyze pricing received from suppliers and subcontractors as well as participate in the review of Requests for Proposal (RFP) requirements and prepare price/cost proposals (cost narratives, small business plans, price workbooks). Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Math or have equivalent work related experience. PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (096635) Portsmouth, VA Coordinates and arranges for the work of several trades in connection with performing work from information received from technical work documents, blueprints, specifications, written and/or oral instructions. PROGRAM MANAGER (Senior) (096434) Middletown, RI The Program/Project Manager III is concerned with the top-level planning, direction, and success of multiple major programs, systems, and/or initiatives. They are responsible for all decision making for their programs/contracts. They perform both high-level and day-to-day management of technical and administrative personnel and programs. Must have (15) years professional experience in technical and program/project management, including five (5) years experience in the management of technical projects involving submarine mechanical/electronics/equipment systems. PROPOSAL SPECIALIST (095869) Norfolk, VA Assist in proposal preparation from inception to completion. Analyze RFP and outline sections for compliant. Monitor and update CRM system for upcoming and long-lead RFPs for all departments. Lead proposal volumes, i.e. resumes, past performance, during proposal process. Multi-task, prioritize and manage complex and demanding workload in a fast paced environment. Update proposal databases and repositories. Provide support to all departments with proposal data calls and proposal pre-work requirements. Experience with the Shipley process and tailoring it to meet proposal timeline. Have a thorough knowledge of rigging procedures and equipment. Move ship’s engines, generators, turbines, pumps, boilers, structural shapes and plates, ordnance equipment such as bombs, torpedoes, and ammunition, and delicate electronic equipment such as sonar gear. The candidate must have a Secret DoD clearance at time of hire. SECURITY MANAGER (096036) Norfolk, VA The Security Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, administration and strategic business contributor for security programs of national importance. Act as the primary interface with Government agencies and Customers, internal & external, with regards to National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and compartmented efforts in compliance with contractual security requirements. US Citizenship and current Top Secret/SSBI. SCI eligibility highly desirable. A minimum 5 years in the Defense industry with experience successfully developing, implementing, and managing security requirements in support of the NISP and compartmented programs. Mastery of the NISPOM, JAFAN’s, ICDs and other Governmental directives/policies. SHIPWRIGHT (Staging) (096637) Portsmouth, VA Design staging structures to meet various requirements aboard, adjacent to, and in support of work on a variety of naval vessels and structures. A current Secret Clearance is required.
