II. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

weld pipe and steel together using both submerged metal arc welding (SMAW or “stick”) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW, TIG, or “heli-arc”) techniques
perform related metal working tasks such as thermal cutting, arc gouging, and grinding
position and clamp components of fabricated metal products in preparation for welding
assemble and install a variety of pipe, tube, and equipment; may use big and small cranes, chain fall, or come-a-long to position work
assemble pipe using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools
secure pipe to structure using brackets, clamps, and hangers
bend and install tubing
test installed equipment to ensure adequacy of repair and safe operation upon commissioning
follow applicable specifications, particularly piping and welding specifications, such that piping is installed to standard
cut pipe and steel using saw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, or pipe cutting / threading machine
lift and rig equipment and piping
operate fork lift to transport work or maneuver equipment as necessary
operate man lift or ladder to safety position self at a height to complete a task
attend daily meeting to receive and discuss work orders that include dismantling, repair, or changing of pipes, valves, process equipment, structures, etc.
coordinate repairs with production to ensure work site has been prepared to avoid interfering with activities of other workers
verify proper life critical documentation is prepared prior to the start of work
inspect work site to determine best possible placement and routing of equipment and pipelines to allow long-term maintainability
analyze problems to determine materials needed to complete task and transports materials to job site
remove product from dismantled equipment by washing surfaces prior to transport
perform housekeeping within areas of responsibility, both in the field and in the shop
utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) according to specific job task
perform other duties or projects as specified by supervisor
III. HSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
completes computer based training to comply with health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) requirements and policies
attend required safety meetings
follow and clarify plant life critical procedures
inspect equipment prior to turn over to production
generator and handler of hazardous and universal waste—responsible for container labeling and marking and may collect samples to assist with characterization of waste
IV. SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrated welding competency by passing Rhodia, Blue Island welding procedure qualification methods (PQM) WPS-BL-120 (CS SMAW) and WPS-BL-200 (316SS GTAW).
Yearly fork lift certification.

Desired Skills / Experience • Knowledge of the AOC domain and its application to Air Force command and control strongly needed. Experience in an AOC or with systems deployed in an AOC is highly desired.
• Experience performing site surveys, system installations, and system troubleshooting is strongly desired.
• Some combination of integration and installation skills that could be applied to common client side servers, IT, system administration functions, and interface integration, Load SUM, WINDOWS and Solaris OS's, 3rd Party applications, etc.
• Experience with virtualization and service orientated architecture (SOA) is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of current commercial standards and best practices as they apply to a web/services based operating environment that builds upon the concepts of user, application, business logic, and data separation is also highly desired.

The Senior Nuclear Security Specialist will be involved in interfacing with the contract security force concerning operational security issues.
Basic Qualifications
Position requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 - 7 years like-work experience. Four years of like-work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree, or combination of education and like-work experience totaling 9+ years.
Specific Job Details
This position will also be responsible for the day to day operational activities and processes associated with protecting a commercial nuclear generating facility.
The Senior Nuclear Security Specialist will at various times interface with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission during security inspections, Force on Force Exercises and investigations. The Senior Nuclear Security Specialist must also coordinate security requirements with Nuclear Plant Operations and various other plant organizations. The Senior Nuclear Security Specialist will be an adjunct security training instructor and will have responsibilities in initial and continuing training of the security force.
The Senior Nuclear Security Specialist will also be part of the Emergency Response Organization with on-call duties.
This position will dedicate 50% of each work week to back shift and weekend observations of the operational security shift. These observations require shift engagement, coaching of behaviors, evaluation of performance against fleet standards, and documentation of each observation. In addition to the reinforcement and coaching of physical security standards and expectations, this position is responsible for providing coaching and feedback to shift leadership to ensure effective communications and leadership coaching occurs on all Security operations shifts.
The Senior Nuclear Security Specialist must have experience in the development or revision of operational/tactical plans and procedures, training materials, defensive strategies and anti-terrorist measures, and other written products. The ideal candidate will have operational or supervisory experience in physical security and extensive knowledge of physical security principles such as detection, delay and response. A strong working knowledge of physical security measures, intrusion detection systems, CCTV applications, integrated security system knowledge, etc. They must be able to participate in force-on-force training exercises as a controller/evaluator and assist in the management of the security budget, security related projects and defensive strategy implementation. This person should possess above average emotional intelligence and strong communication skills--written and oral.
Note: it is important to emphasize that 50% of the work hours for these two positions will be on back shift (night time) and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in law enforcement, nuclear plant operations, security or military or 12 years of professional experience in law enforcement, nuclear plant operations, security or military is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products is also strongly preferred.

38. Systems Engineer (Tester) Location: National Business Park-Annapolis Junction, MD
Description: The Test Engineer shall plan, conduct and document functional and assurance testing according to Agency testing standards.
Responsibilities:
• Provide functional and assurance testing to all programs within the division.
• Plan, conduct and document software and hardware testing according to Agency testing standards.
• Develop functional test plans and procedures.
• Provide experienced functional and assurance skilled testers.
• Technically distance testers from the development groups to maintain testing objectivity and validity.
• Develop, document and maintain functional and assurance testing regiments that are fully compliant with Agency testing standards.
Minimum Requirements:
• TS/SCI Clearance (NSA, Full Scope Poly Preferred)
• Five years experience in research, development, management, and maintenance of testing techniques and practices.
• Five years experience planning, developing, authoring, staging, and implementation testing for large-scale embedded systems. Software testing and system testing experience required.
• Five years experience in preparing for, supporting and implementing component, unit and system level testing using Common Criteria as the testing standard.
• Five years experience in developing testing documentation, reports, test procedures and test plans using Common Criteria as the testing standard.
• Five years experience in preparing for, administering and reporting software/hardware interoperability and security vulnerability analysis using Common Criteria.
• Five years experience in successfully working in a Common Criteria Certified test laboratory.
• Experience in at least three of the following:
• Operating system environments, to include Red Hat Linux, HP/TRU64, and Microsoft Windows.
• Evaluation and documentation of test results for software, firmware, and hardware.
• Adhering to Common Criteria and Assurance testing directives.
• Automating white and black box test procedures.
• Mapping unit, integration, and system level requirements to tests – requires a working knowledge of DOORS tool.
• Data networks (LAN, MAN, WAN), IP addressing, subnetting, routers, and switches.
