Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting Section of our Planning and Finance Division. In this role, you will put your expert accounting knowledge and skills to good use as you perform professional senior-level accounting and reporting and a variety of complex analytical and research functions relating to the operations of Colorado Springs Utilities, certain joint ventures, and authorities. Additionally, you will ensure that accounting transactions, financial statements, processes, and controls are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable policies and regulations. Your extensive skills and knowledge will be valued by your colleagues and customers as you perform complex accounting tasks that make a difference to Colorado Springs Utilities and our community.

Who you are:
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field, and five or more years of experience in a relevant accounting, auditing, or finance field
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred

What will you be doing...
Develop, maintain, and improve analytical tools, proprietary models, and data connections to enhance trading strategies and improve forecasting
Streamline work processes through back-end automation of repetitive and routine tasks and data extractions
Enhancement and redesign of existing in-house-built reports, models, and spreadsheets
Work with external Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system vendors for system enhancements, back-end changes, and testing of newly deployed modules
Assist with ad-hoc projects and data requests, as well as perform backup support for other trading analysts
Who you are...
Bachelor's degree; specialization in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Statistics, or a related field is preferred
VBA/SQL/Python coding experience

Senior Event Planner

DUTIES:
Establish plans and shall assign protocol support for Space Systems Command (SSC) events, distinguished visitors, and ceremonies (ex: awards, promotions, retirement ceremonies, courtesy calls, special ceremonies, and social events.)
Update the appropriate checklists, scripts, and itinerary templates in accordance with the latest instructions, policies, and lessons learned. Distribute these checklists, scripts, and itinerary templates to the appropriate event lead.
Coordinate for each activity to ensure that the manpower and facilities are available at appropriate times
Implement the latest protocol instructions, policies, and lessons learned prior to and during events, Distinguished Visitors (DVs), and/or ceremonies
prepare presentation materials, special reports, and/or papers as requested, and provide the Government with copies of all materials presented at the meetings.
Lead and supervise the designated protocol team (to include non-protocol office team members) in planning, creating/reviewing scripts and itineraries, and executing these events/DVs/ceremonies
Notify all stakeholders when protocol documents are updated (e.g. changes to Points of Contact (POC, contact numbers, visit dates) for a specific event, DV, ceremony
Lead a “Lessons Learned” debriefing after every event, DV, and ceremony
Establish, update, maintain, and disseminate training materials to instruct and guide protocol team members and designated SSC POCs on processes for events, DVs, ceremonies (ex: escort training, agenda/itinerary development, customs and courtesies, and any other protocol related processes)
Establish and continuously maintain ongoing communications with key stakeholder offices as well as professional organizations and industries involved in base-wide events.
Establish relationships and participate in monthly meetings with military directors/Chiefs at various SSC locations
Establish relationships and chair weekly meetings
Create, distribute, and maintain an SSC DV Visit Tracker. The data for the SSC DV Visit Tracker shall include monthly statistics regarding visits, a weekly listing of scheduled visitors, and the assignment of DVs by the base billeting office according to the SSC/CC’s guidelines
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must have the following protocol expertise:
Knowledge of etiquette, military customs, and international protocol as well as an understanding of management techniques to adequately schedule visits through the many organizations assuring the visitor's purpose is accomplished
Knowledge of USAF, USSF, and SSC organizational structure, functions, and operations sufficient to adequately brief visiting dignitaries on programs of interest
Skill in making oral presentations designed to inform the visitors about the various history and programs underway at SSC
Skill in analyzing the results of visits, (e.g. agenda items and/or various activities participation to enhance the overall program).
Skill in coordinating the participation of all activities on the base affected by the visit including all tenants and contractors
Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with representatives of other protocol offices, representatives of other Government agencies, and representatives of foreign governments (e.g., embassies, consulates, and representatives of major private industries)
Skill in developing agendas and in setting up itineraries to prepare programs to include guest lists, menus, seating arrangements, etc.

Location: The majority of the work will take place in Space-Based Delta 3 in El Segundo California. However, out-of-state and/or country travel may be required.

Qualifications
SIGINT Subject Matter Expert (SME) shall possess the following qualifications:
· Minimum of ten (10) years analytical experience within DoD or equivalent Government agencies required, with five (5) years at the operational level.
· Shall be highly proficient in utilizing current intelligence related automation, applications, tools, and databases to support analytical efforts and product development.
· Shall possess strong briefing skills.

· Must have ability to work independently with little or no supervision
· Must have ability to work as a part of a team to identify trends and information of value within data-at-rest to drive reporting and production to alert decision-makers of new developments and to meet specific customer requirements.
· Acute knowledge of SOF and or CT intelligence experience is highly desirable.
· Shall be proficient in utilizing basic computer applications and established SIGINT related databases to support analytical efforts and product development.
· Shall possess strong briefing skills and be capable of effectively directing and influencing the conduct of SIGINT operations.

· Of the foregoing experience, the IDL SME shall have not less than five (5) years of operational analysis experience in their analytical field. Two (2) years of experience in a managerial level position in support of special operations, and combat overseas tours with a SMU and or SOF in an operational environment providing a direct analysis support function is highly desired.
· IDL SME shall have advanced skill-sets with the F3EAD targeting methodology to include broad knowledge of additional intelligence disciplines and significant demonstrable experience in their field capable of leading analytical efforts culminating in products.
· IDL SME shall have advanced skill-sets with the Intelligence Cycle, HVI Targeting, Social Network Analysis, Patterns of Life Analysis and one or more of the following areas: Human Factors Analysis, Human Terrain Analysis, SIGINT Targeting, Convergence Analysis, and Intelligence training.

Engineering Design:

Nature of the work:
Installing underground or overhead electrical lines by laying pipe, pulling wire, and setting meters

Under the Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA), Colorado Springs Utilities will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of Fort Carson’s electric and gas infrastructure, effective January 1, 2023, however, this position will begin as soon as possible. Pursuant to the IGSA, this position will support operations and maintenance of Fort Carson’s existing electric substations, distribution system up to and including switch gear, transformers, and streetlights fed from transformers in accordance with utilities best practices.

Defense Advanced Tradecraft Courses (DATC), or
Advanced Source Operations Courses (ASOC), or
Advanced Military Source Operations Courses (AMSOC)
At least eight (8) years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the responsibilities and requirements of the Collection Manager position with at least a portion of the experience within the last two (2) years.
Bachelor's degree in an area related to the responsibilities and requirements of the Intelligence Management Specialist position from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
