Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you will represent the face of Colorado Springs Utilities by being the first point of contact for customers in our community! You will evaluate and analyze customer account data, establish utility service accounts, and provide assistance on a variety of problems, questions, and issues. Our onsite 8-week training program (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) to ramp you up for success in this position includes a blend of hybrid classroom and virtual instruction, computer-based courses, instructor-led activities, and simulations. A day in the life of a Customer Service Representative may include:
Answering inbound customer calls and communicating with customers via chat to address questions and reach resolutions, and documenting all interactions, to provide a positive customer experience
Establishing, transferring, and/or stopping utility service for customers
Reviewing and addressing customer billing questions and concerns, and researching complex account issues
Providing customers with educational utilities information and account management tools
Conducting financial reviews of residential and commercial utility accounts
Negotiating customer payment extensions
Ensuring utilities emergency calls are routed to Dispatch
Submitting field order requests and performing equipment-related transactions

Controls Senior Specialist
The System Planning and Projects Division (SPP) Controls team at Colorado Springs Utilities is looking for a dynamic, energetic, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Controls Senior Specialist.  
Key Areas of Focus:
Develop and implement project controls and monitoring procedures to ensure the achievement of project scope, schedule, and cost objectives
Collaborate with planning, engineering, technology, project management, accounting, controls and finance teams regarding project controls processes, procedures, and tools
Participation and facilitation in cost management and prioritization for projects and initiatives
Collect, build, and analyze project cost and time data to establish a baseline of information and communicate variances, and support reporting information
Provide quality assessments and overview of compliance with project management methodologies to ensure reduction in delivery risk, ensure successful implementation/construction, and transition to operations
Develop and maintains reports to keep project, program, controls team and management informed on project progress; examples of reports may include labor productivity, schedule status, financial analysis, cost performance, and earned value curves and reports on either direct or indirect activities
Benchmark, analyze, and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and metrics in order to develop sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable process improvements

Who you are...candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Cost Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Accounting or related field are highly preferred.  Additionally, we seek experience in planning/scheduling and cost engineering in a construction and engineering environment. Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities may be accepted in lieu of experience requirement. PMI Project Management Professional or AACEi certifications are preferred.

Description
 
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to the deliverable specifications outlined in the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) for projects 6.08 CCM System Investments and 8.02 Provider Oversight.  
Devise, direct, refine, finalize, and manage developed ARPA project plans where primary management lives within the Operations and Administration Division.
Research, document, and recommend prioritization of all needed enhancements to the Care and Case Management (CCM) Tool that will be funded by ARPA monies, which may extend to the evaluation of projects funded by the Department of Justice initiatives related to de-institutionalization of Coloradans with disabilities.
Initiate, create, and finalize Office of Community Living-managed ARPA and Department of Justice scope change request documentation required by the Health Information Office, Procurement, and the Fiscal Agent to execute contract amendments necessary to complete changes to the CCM Tool. Work extends to coordination with subject matter experts across the Office of Community Living.
Coordinate ARPA work across the Case Management and Quality Performance Division, the Health Information Office, and the Governor’s Office of eHealth Innovation to align all projects with the Governor’s eHealth strategy and long-term goals.
Determine cadence of staff meetings and direct Program Support Administrators to assist with meeting scheduling, issue follow up, and coordination across offices.
Initiate and manage all project-related work with Procurement and outside vendors as required by the detailed project plan.
Evaluate and direct which stakeholders and contracted vendors require engagement and outreach on the ARPA time-limited projects.
Evaluate and analyze existing stakeholder communication processes and develop/direct external communication plan.
As required by Office management, document all processes and projects after ARPA projects finalized.
Defines ARPA and CCM project scope and deliverables that support the Department goals in collaboration with leadership, management, and external stakeholders.
Initiates dialogue with staff within the Health Information Office (HIO) and the Office of Community Living to identify and solicit resources needed to complete assigned project. Develops, plans, schedules and tracks project timelines and milestones, including intake meetings and completion of all required documentation.
Defines project success criteria and disseminates criteria to external stakeholders and Department staff routinely.
 
Develops and delivers progress reports, requirements documentation and presentations relative to projects.
Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crisis and devises contingency plans in consultation with Leadership.
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Works with Department Staff to take projects to scale for statewide implementation, when necessary.
Evaluates the project and identifies the lessons learned and the key factors for success, after project completion.
Assist the Operations and Administration Division’s Provider Enrollment team in the enrollment of Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) providers on an as needed basis.
Requires knowledge of Google Suite apps, project planning document templates, and MS Office.

Terrestris, LLC is now hiring Guerrilla Force Role Players (GFRP) and
actors to participate in National Guard training exercises across West
Virginia. Exercises are 13 days in length in mid-April 2024 and will
include weekdays and weekends. These roles are essential for creating
realistic, scenario-based training exercises to prepare our forces for
diverse operational environments. The selected individuals will portray
various local guerilla volunteers within simulated military settings.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the readiness
and effectiveness of our military personnel.
Duties
Terrestris GFRP / Actors will assist in providing realistic training
aimed at purposefully strengthening security and resilience through
systematic preparation for threats that pose the greatest risk to the
security of the nation. Specialty Role Players will create the partner
nation landscape of the exercise to expand and strengthen training,
communication, coordination and integration skills, providing
opportunities for exercise participants to practice essential training
and development skills. As such, GFRPs will be asked to portray
guerilla volunteer fighters in the simulated operation.
GFRPs will be asked to play a specific role and may have to learn or
create a backstory. GFRPs will be required to act and improvise in
multiple scenarios and participate in simulated training and combat
scenarios across the duration of the exercise.
GFRPS may be required to spend the night in the field (camp out).
Requirements
  * Must not have an existing condition that requires special needs or
    medical assistance.
  * Must be capable of unassisted walking over rugged terrain for
    distances up to one-half mile at a time.
  * Must be capable of standing, sitting, or lying on uneven and dirty
    surfaces that may be very cool or very warm for an extended period.
  * Willingness and ability to follow all coordinating instructions for
    the execution of roles assigned.
  * Must be prepared to conduct up to two meetings with training
    audiences during each operational period and multiple roles as required.
  * This exercise is a dynamic exercise and meeting schedules may change
    based on RP and training audience interactions.
  * Personnel identified as guerilla fighters shall have varied levels
    of skills and background, military background is not required.
    Guerilla fighters shall be capable of living and operating in
    austere environment capable of conducting small unit tactics.

  * Personnel identified as Guerilla Chiefs shall be an experienced US
    Army Special Forces Officer, Warrant Officer, or Noncommissioned

Electrical Engineering Internship - Electric Distribution Standards
Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern, eager to apply his or her engineering, scientific, and academic knowledge to join the Standards team for a summer internship.  Internship dates are May 28th-August 9th.
Colorado Springs Utilities has an Electric Service area of 475 square miles, with 8 generation plants, 51 substations, and 3,906 miles of wire – 73% of which is underground. Electric usage continues to grow from 5 million MWh in 2020. A SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) of 54 minutes put us in the first quartile of reliability, as compared to other utilities in the latest IEEE survey. The Standards team works closely with other engineers in Planning, Design, Operations, and Construction to support system reliability, developing construction design standards, equipment evaluation and failure analyses.
What you will manage, experience and assist with during this internship: 
Studies and Research related to the electric distribution system
Assist engineers to manage and coordinate engineering projects
Assist engineers with technical support for operational issues as they arise;. This mainly consists of using engineering skills to review coordination and protection schemes (with emphasis on public safety and equipment protection), analyzing and finding solutions to outages, reviewing materials or reviewing specifications for new materials, or coordinating electric infrastructure with other customer needs
Provide Engineering support and Standards development for new technology, such as automated metering, solar power integration, Electric Vehicle Integration, 3rd party Cellular/WiFi pole attachments, and Smart City/Smart Grid programs
Participate in material evaluation for new or alternate materials, with focus on lowest system lifecycle costs
Perform tests, failure analysis of equipment, and coordinate trials of new products
Perform failure investigations and analyses
Partner with engineers and with Electric Construction to define, document and approve electric construction standards/methods based on industry best practices/developing technologies and assuring conformance to applicable laws, codes, and regulations
Write and approve material specifications, construction standards, and guidelines for electric items/designs
Attend/participate in Electric industry organizations such as IEEE, RMEL and other standards groups for best practice sharing and to survey other utilities
Review iwith engineers the changes to codes and regulations to determine what changes need to be made to Colorado Springs Utilities practices
Who you are...Someone who is working on a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, likes team-oriented work and is an innovator who looks for new technologies and processes to increase efficiency and quality.  AutoCAD is a plus.

*P**osition Summary:*
The Recovery Care Coordinator (RCC) is responsible for oversight for the
Recovering Service Member (RSM) and family through the continuum of
care. Responsibilities encompass the full spectrum of care, services,
and benefits needed for holistic recovery of the whole person and
life?long continuity of care.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of
importance; other duties may be assigned)*
1. Serve as focal point to assist the RSM in his/her course through the
entire spectrum of non-medical care, management, reintegration, and
rehabilitation services available from the Federal Government, including
services provided by the Department of Defense, the Department of
Veterans Affairs, the Department of Labor, and the Social Security
Administration.
2. Communicate with the RSM and his/her family or other individuals
designated by the RSM regarding non-medical matters that arise during
his/her recovery, rehabilitation, reintegration and/or transition.
3. In accordance with current DoD and VA Interagency Care Coordination,
serve as the lead coordinator responsible for the development and
delivery of services/resources through the Comprehensive Recovery Plan
(CRP) to ensure quality care and accountability as soon as the RSM
transitions to outpatient status.
4. Conduct a needs assessment for the RSM and family to identify goals
and ensure needs are met. Based on RSM?s needs, develop, implement, and
provide oversight of the CRP as defined in DODI 1300.24.
5. Conduct CRP briefings with RSM?s unit leadership and/or unit
immersion briefings for newly assigned unit commanders within 60-days of
assignment as directed by Site Lead (SL) or Regional Lead (RL.)
6. Investigate, assess, and reassess when necessary; all client cases
involving multiple variables to determine both tangible and intangible
needs across the spectrum of DoD care domains within the CRP.
7. Seek the best possible outcome for the RSM through conventional and
unconventional processes per governing regulatory guidance. Utilize all
available sources, e.g., the National Research Directory lists, SOF
specific information and benefits, VA benefits, programs, and Family
Readiness Centers to develop comprehensive solutions within the DoD care
domains of the RCP.
8. Establish trust and build rapport with stakeholders in the warrior
care process to effectively influence COA execution.
9. Facilitate expeditious and timely delivery of treatment and service.
Identify gaps in medical/non-medical services, intervene as necessary to
expedite outcomes and assist with coordination of resources to develop
and improve outcomes for enhanced delivery of services such as financial
counseling, spouse employment assistance, respite care information, and
childcare assistance, etc. and resources available through the National
Resource Directory and other sources.
10. Ensure detailed updates are made to the CRP as defined in applicable
guidance and USSOCOM operational requirements.
11. Coordinate/communicate to ensure successful transfer of RSM?s CRP
should he/she be moved to a different location for care.
12. Inactivate the CRP when the RSM has met all goals or declines
further support and maintain all documents according to applicable
USSOCOM policies.
13. Consult and collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams during initial
treatment phase and continuing throughout the continuum of care,
including support during the disability evaluation system process.
14. Ensure the RSM, family, and/or caregivers have access to all medical
and non-medical care management services including, but not limited to
medical care, rehabilitation, education, employment-related programs,
and disability benefits.
15. Manage the CRP, anticipating future challenges during phases of
recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration. Review and make
modifications in conjunction with the Recovery Team supporting the RSM,
family and/or caregiver.
16. Maintain communications and coordinate with agencies, in
coordination with and under the direction of the WCP to ensure delivery
of assistance and to resolve conflicts.
17. Assist in coordinating local and state resources, including referral
to Governmental and non-Governmental agencies, state and local services
and agencies, as appropriate, where the RSM and family reside.
18. Maintain detailed records of the RSM to document delivery of
benefits and medical and non-medical care.
19. Collaborate as needed with community partners such as veteran
organizations, Family Readiness Centers, training, and employment
resources both on and off the installation to form a pool of resources
to support the care of RSMs, their families, and caregivers.

The Senior Capture Manager creates and implements a strategy for

Responsibilities:
  * Leads task order capture efforts for one or more large-scale IDIQ
    contracts, to include developing overall IDIQ capture strategies,
    creatively and dynamically organizing efforts for maximum
    efficiency, and driving actions and priorities.
  * Takes ownership of specific task order capture opportunities. For
    those efforts, performs competitive analysis and outreach to build
    teams, manages NDA and Teaming Agreement communications (with help
    of in-house Contracts team), and serves as a Capture Manager during
    the RFP response stage by leading the proposal team in the
    development of a winning proposal, with specific help in the
    development of win themes, competitive pricing, and in presenting a
    clear understanding of the customer.
  * Takes ownership and lead the response RFIs, Sources Sought, RFPs and
    GSA Market Surveys.
  * Performs and/or leads research efforts to build a deep capture
    pipeline and continually prioritizes efforts to maximize return.
  * Meet fast-paced (sometimes less than 24 hours), hard deadlines for
    capture efforts.
  * Leverage and/or build relationships within industry partners and
    government personnel.
  * Take a leadership role in EDC?s weekly capture meetings, present
    strategies and develop actionable roadmaps to advance opportunities
    through the sales cycle.
  * Meet with EDC?s leadership team regularly to review day to day
    operational tasks.
  * Report to and assist the VP including manage capture efforts for
    large IDIQ contracts, such as ITES-3S, DLA JETS, CIOSP3, GSA MAS,
    GSA ALLIANT, DISA ENCORE or similar vehicles.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  * Minimum 4 to 10 years with above tasks/duties including full life
    cycle capture efforts, opportunity identification and qualification,
    RFP shredding, bid/no bid conversations, teaming, negotiations,
    pricing and proposal development, capturing accounts, forming teams,
    and growing business with the Federal government, Possess contacts
    within the Federal industry to facilitate strategic teaming
    relationships, reside locally in Northern Virgina for last minute
    meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  * Deliver instruction on CIED principles, concepts, and tactics.
  * Safely handle and utilize explosive training devices within
    installation and training areas.
  * Attend USAF EOS training, obtain competency certificate. The course
    consists of approximately two weeks of institutional skills training
    designed to indoctrinate new military instructors as well as a
    one-year instructor upgrade certification period. Sister Service
    instructor courses generally meet the Academic Instructor Course
    requirement. Attend AF training classes provided by the USAF EOS and
    receive a certificate of competency for use and movement of
    explosive training devices at the completion of training.
  * Manage training devices and pyrotechnics for daily courses.
  * Transport students to and from training locations.
  * Successfully complete required instructional courses.
  * Serve as Range Safety Officer, ensuring safety protocols.
  * Instruct complex combat scenarios using experience and prepared
    lesson plans.
  * Maintain accurate instructional records and comply with
    accreditation policies.
  * Complete initial training within 60 days of employment.
  * Be responsible for setup, use, reconstitution, and inventory of
    training devices and pyrotechnics used during daily training courses.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
  * Graduate of Navy School of Explosive Ordnance Disposal or equivalent.
  * Minimum of (4) years military/civilian EOD experience or (3) years
    instructing C-IED material.
  * Associate degree or nearing completion.
  * Have either prior, military deployed experience in environment
    ranging from uncertain or hostile environments or federal and/or
    state agency relevant experience in skills required to operate and
    survive in multiple environments.
  * Thorough comprehension of current IED threats.
  * Proficient in Air Force small arms qualification.
  * Possess a valid driver?s license and capable of operating government
    vehicles.
  * Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat is
    preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
? Ability to physically instruct and assist students in field
conditions, including:
  * Dealing with small arms fire, smoke, and percussion effects on live
    fire ranges, using blanks and dye marking cartridges.
  * Navigating uneven terrain in all weather conditions for multiple
    consecutive days while wearing gear.
  * Carrying training aids or equipment as needed.
  * Lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted and moving up to 500 feet (not
    simultaneously).

SAS International is currently seeking a full-time Special Activities
Subject Matter Expert (SA SME) in support of a government contract. The
SA SME must have a clear understanding of the Marine Raider
Battalion?s organization, structure, and mission to perform training,
coordination, and implementation of all functions across all aspects of
the task order, and all other duties, responsibilities, and actions
necessary to support SA SME activities. The SA SME will be required to
work on the client site and will be tasked to travel up to 50%.
