• Manage a diverse work unit for payment support functions such as travel and vendor payment support, 1099 processing, data and accounting reconciliation, cost and funding analysis, and various other accounting and financial activities.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level you must possess at least one of the following:
One full year of specialized experience. Specialized experience is described experience managing accounting duties in one or more of the following areas: travel payments, vendor payments, payment certification, mission assignments, IAA and reimbursables, accounting reconciliation and analysis, debt establishment, receipts, or debt management.
OR
Education: Degree: accounting; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. (The term "accounting" means "accounting and/or auditing" in this standard. Similarly, "accountant" should be interpreted, generally, as "accountant and/or auditor.")
OR
Combination of education and experience -- at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:1. Twenty-four semester hours in accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality. This can include up to 6 hours of business law;2. A certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination; or3. The candidate will be required to provide software support for image processing techniques and netlist design analysis. The image processing support will be to enhance the quality of the images produced by any of the image acquisition tool systems, e.g., x-ray systems, scanning electron microscopes, or focused ion beam systems. The candidate will be required to evaluate commercial image enhancement software to develop techniques to remove noise from images, balance intensity levels, improve linearity of image features, detect features in images, and improve capability to discriminate between features of interest and the background.

Responsibilities:
• Set-up and install computer hardware and related peripherals.

• Setup software, grant and maintain access rights, backup data.

• Provide support for the server system, the BATS system, and the RONCO internet on KAF.
