Employment Opportunities with Amerit Fleet
I’m attaching a list of current openings with Amerit Fleet Solutions. Amerit Fleet Solutions desires to hire a combination of veterans and non-veterans. Based on both my personal Marine Corps and automotive experience, I believe that veterans, transitioning military personnel and non-veterans with these types of backgrounds would be good fits for the following types of positions:
Aerial Equipment Technician – Engineer, Generator Tech
Fleet Implementation Manager – Logistics, Motor Transport, Automotive Master Tech or Shop Supervisor
Fleet Manager – Logistics, Motor Transport, Automotive Master Tech or Shop Supervisor
Garage Support/Fueler – Bulk Fuel, Lube Tech
Garage Support/Vehicle Transporter – Motor Transport, Driver, Lube Tech
Garage Support Service Coordinator – Motor Transport, Logistics, Admin
The best backgrounds for the various types of technician positions would be – Motor Transport, Automotive Tech
Here’s some information to help when considering the positions to apply for:
Types of Vacancies
· Titles with “Technician” in them – require their own hand tools
· Mechanics – require their own hand tools
· MSC and AET - require their own hand tools
· Some Technician/MSC/AET – prefer 2 ASE Certifications upon hire – some garages will allow for time to obtain
· Garage Support/Transporter (some locations may require a CDL class “A” or “B”) – limited experience needed
· Garage Support/Fueler - limited experience needed
· Service Coordinator – prefer someone with experience in auto industry, parts experience and customer service
· Fleet Managers/Implementation Managers/Senior Fleet Managers – prefer ASE Certifications-expired okay and hands on experience as a Technician/Mechanic
