How Will You Make an Impact?


As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will join our talented Enterprise Database team responsible for implementing, monitoring, and securing our physical databases to effectively transform data into information for making sound decisions that support the success of Colorado Springs Utilities and our customers.


Installing, designing, and maintaining database system software and implementing database security

Monitoring and analyzing database performance and ensuring effective and efficient utilization of database systems and processes

Monitoring and managing the Business Continuity solution for the database environment, including the installation and configuration of database software and replication processes

Maintaining database dictionaries and support tools, and developing and maintaining accurate system documentation

Performing regular database maintenance activities by following internal processes (data loads, data fixes, schema updates, database copies, software installs/upgrades/patches, etc.)

Partnering with intermediate database administrators (DBAs) to educate and demonstrate processes and task fulfillment

Who You Are


Relevant and progressively responsible experience in database administrations and architecture

Relevant and progressively responsible experience utilizing various high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options

Relevant and progressively responsible experience with backup/recovery best practices, and with query tuning and troubleshooting

Skilled in Unix and PowerShell scripting

Skilled in OEM, GoldenGate, RAC, Exadata, RMAN

Knowledge of data encryption techniques

Starting with a foundational rotation, you’ll gain exposure to the operational areas of Colorado Springs Utilities as well as the supporting business functions that you’ll work with throughout your career. Electrical discipline specific rotation areas will include power generation plants, electric system modeling and operations, and electric system design.  

At the completion of the program, in consultation with your manager, you will be aligned to a role within the company that matches your skills, interests and career goals and the needs of the organization.

Colorado Springs Utilities is actively seeking a leader to fill the role of Procurement Manager. In this role, the Procurement Manager will lead a team of 17 procurement professionals, and provide strategic leadership, direction, and management to ensure the reliable supply of goods and services to support Colorado Springs Utilities a four-service utility that provides water, wastewater, electricity, and natural gas services to the growing Colorado Springs metropolitan area.


Key Elements of the Role:


Act as the single point of contact in providing leadership to the procurement function for the enterprise. To understand best practices in the sourcing function and to develop a strategy to implement these.

Support, guide, and influence stakeholders to realize the maximum value from the function; address barriers and challenges in a proactive manner driven by delivering best value to the community

Analyze spending so that a pipeline of sourcing projects can be created and delivered

Provide leadership and mentoring within the department

Act as the accountable point of contact between Colorado Springs Utilities and key suppliers to develop sourcing plans and lead/supervise negotiations on behalf of the organization 

Establish the lowest total cost of acquisition through negotiation of all supply parameters including Terms of Payments, Vendor Managed Inventory (where appropriate), as well as opportunities for reducing cost through supply chain integration (e.g., forecasting and e-commerce)

Establish and maintain an audit function with appropriate escalation for suppliers in the event of non-conformance to agreed standards and incorporate performance criteria into the annual negotiation

Who you are…most people we consider to be highly qualified will offer a bachelor’s degree in business administration, purchasing, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; (MBA is preferred).  Academic credentials in conjunction with ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience, five (5) or more years in a senior management or executive level, and 15 to 20 years of strategic sourcing experience. Additionally, be an excellent diplomatic communicator and negotiator, and possess exceptional skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based communication tools.  Additional consideration will be given to candidates with certifications such as CPP, CPM, or CPSM. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system experience such as Oracle or SAP is required, as well as advanced knowledge and practice using eSourcing tools.

Summary

Responsibilities


Receive customer trouble tickets and service requests for desktop support.

Respond to service requests, enter them into the ticketing system, and acknowledge the request to the customer.

Build new systems using the Army Gold Master (AGM) or the bulk imaging of approved operating systems, baseline software applications, and required security patches.

Install encryption systems used to protect the data of portable systems, like laptops.

Identify and install required drivers.

Analyze customer prepared requests for acquisition and life-cycle replacement.

Manage (e.g. image, set up, distribute and track) lifecycle/service replacement equipment, including desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and hot spots for the installation.

Perform bulk imaging/configuration for 15 or more devices.

Participate in RMF support.

Mitigate all systems known to be at risk as determined by the Army Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) process.

Troubleshoot and resolve the service requests.

Respond and support HBSS, ACAS, SIPRNET, and VTC services as required.

Resolve Service Requests and User Incidents for VoIP through remote administration actions (troubleshooting, repairing) that do not require touch labor.

Install, diagnose, and correct problems with desktop software, including but is not limited to:

Ensure no system changes are implemented without an approved change request from the Configuration Control Board (CCB).

Contribute to SharePoint library.

Minimal Background/Experience Required: Assignment to Special Operations Forces (Special Forces, Military Information Support Operations, Civil Affairs, Ranger Regiment, Special Operations Aviation, Special Mission units), or assignment to Military Intelligence. (Equivalent assignments within other Department of Defense military branches apply). Have a minimum of two (2) years of corporate experience and specific expertise working in the digital domain, using open source, social media, and the internet for research, influence, operations, targeting, and analysis. Shall be technology agnostic and have detailed expertise and past performance with different technologies to understand and exploit this space with operational relevance.

Additional Desired Qualifications/Experience: One year of experience researching, planning, preparing, coordinating, and executing Mission Rehearsal and Command Post Exercises (MRX/CPX). One year of experience successfully served in a key position at brigade/battalion level (i.e., Executive Officer, S3, Operations Sergeant Major, etc.). Highly desirable to be retired lieutenant colonel (O-5) equivalent or above. Can be a senior Warrant Officer, (W-5) or sergeant major (E-9).

 


Responsibilities


Provide advisory support about specific tasks, processes, or functions, and performs to the organization’s "best practice" standard. Contractor shall be capable of providing reports, technical guidance and mentorship to civilian and military organizations and skilled in analyzing scenarios for requirements and solutions that are in compliance with organizational requirements.

Have a thorough understanding of the specific role(s) that simulation support provides during a joint training exercise to include: Exercise Roles, Exercise Task Organization, Exercise Policies, Required administrative and IT Support, Army Dialogue, Web Based Software (and applicable data), automations equipment needed for replication of USASOC unit in order to provide timely and credible results to enhance effective decision making at all levels of agencies/units participating.

Support a 4th POG furnished synthetic internet environment that provides a full-range, free-play, immersive, realistic, and scalable operational practice environment in which warfighters simultaneously train on full-spectrum cyberspace operations and social media analytics during integrated and multi-dimensional exercises.

Maintain a synthetic internet training environment capability that replicates key aspects of the Internet to provide training exercise designers, planners, and participants with the ability to realistically replicate the unique impacts of online publicly available information (PAI) and other social media into training scenarios.

Provide staff with the training necessary to operate simulated Internet environments. These include the Information Operations Network (ION) and Synthetic Internet Training Environment (SITE). The Contractor shall adapt to current and future technologies employed by 4th POG throughout the life of this contract.

Provide end-user training to military, government, and contractors to ensure user-level competency for systems and tools used to support synthetic training environment. These include the Information Operations Network (ION) and Synthetic Internet Training Environment (SITE). The Contractor shall adapt to current and future technologies employed by 4th POG throughout the life of this contract

Provide staff with the necessary training to operate approved social media tools for the collection and analysis of information. What does a Pyrotechnician / UXO Technician / Lane Controller Do?


Coordinate effective lane training for our role players and students. 

Apply your expert level knowledge and comprehension of clearance of ranges and impact areas, explosives and explosive effects, fuse functioning, ordnance safety precautions, identification of surface fired ordnance, air-launched ordnance, chemical ordnance, pyrotechnic ordnance, underwater ordnance, field exercises, and all relevant personal protective equipment, firing systems, storage, handling and transportation of explosives to enhance training and simulation activities and ensure safe exercise execution.

Be responsible for the safety of all personnel assigned to a lane, and adhere to and enforce ORM

Ensure that all personnel are briefed prior to lane "going hot", 

Ensure blank firing weapons are maintained/issued and accounted for at all times, 

Provide weapons safety and handling instruction to all personnel assigned who will operate blank firing weapons. 

As part of the scenario/exercise team, act as the Subject Matter Expert on training lanes/range safety, 

Conduct coordination and overall mission lane support for the instructors/customer(s) prior to scenario/exercise, 

Report capabilities assessments and/or subsequent exercise/evaluation/training scenario input for all After Action Reviews (AAR)

Colorado Springs Utilities is hiring a Water Treatment Plant Mechanic at the Fountain Valley Authority Water Treatment Plant.  You will be essential to maintaining equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping the plant operational 24/7/365.

Key responsibilities...


Help maintain, calibrate, and operate a variety of equipment used to treat potable water

Conduct continuous preventative maintenance (PM’s) on plant and pump station equipment

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace pumps, motors, valves, blowers, pipelines, and maintain chemical feed and mixing equipment, additionally a basic understanding of hydraulics

Perform facility maintenance, including electrical, heat ventilation, air conditioning, structural maintenance, and repairs

WWC Global is currently seeking a SOF Intelligence Analyst/Trainer for a high visibility program providing training and exercise support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The successful candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate the activities required to execute the various portions of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC). The Joint Exercise Life Cycle includes all the events and actions required to plan, execute, and evaluate major training events that prepare SOF for operations in support of the nation’s strategic initiatives. SOF Intelligence Analyst/Trainer (SME IV) are the senior operational experts who provide leadership to contract Special Operations and Exercise personnel as they work to plan, execute and evaluate portions of the JELC. Basic Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree.

Current, active TS/SCI security clearance.

Minimum of 10 years of SOF intelligence experience.

Minimum of 4 years of recent experience serving in a SOF operational level HQs or Joint Task Force at the O4-O6/GG/GS13-15/CW3-CW5 level.

Excellent presentation, communication and organization skills; proven skills in formal classroom delivery.

Physical Characteristics:

• Able to lift 30 – 50 lbs.

• Able to stand on feet for most of shift, work with the processes on the plant floor, and work flexible hours as needed to administer quality programs across all shifts.

• Able to successfully pass a J1 Jaeger vision test and a color standard test.



Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

• 5 years in the metal fabrication trades and a high school diploma (GED does not qualify with 5 years in metal fabrication trades) and current CWI certification per AWS QC1.

• 4 years in the metal fabrications trades and technical trade school certificate and current CWI certification per AWS QC1.

• 3 years in the metal fabrication trades and verified associate degree with emphasis in the field of mechanical engineering.

• Additional preferred: current Level 2 NDE certification for Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant Inspection.  


Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does have supervisory responsibilities relating to assisting with managing the functions associated with the QA Department.


Work Location:

Office and production environment with 100% of time expected to be worked on-site.


Travel:

Travel is not a recurring condition of this position. <5%.


Environmental Conditions:

• Facility is not climate controlled. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

• The worker could be subject to extreme temperature changes - above 100 degrees in the summer and at or below 32 degrees in the winter.

• The worker could be exposed to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors and poor ventilation.

This position will provide cybersecurity support services and Risk Management Framework (RMF) subject matter expertise to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Transport (AISR-T) program in accordance with DoD and USSOCOM policies and Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office Command, Control, Computer and Communications (PEO-C4) directives, and regulations.

Requirements

Supports, as an Enterprise Information System Security Officer (ISSO), the USSOCOM AISR cybersecurity program, which encompasses multiple cybersecurity disciplines, including access control, training and awareness, personnel security, physical security, secure systems design, media protection, cryptographic protection, information system monitoring, incident response, network boundary protection, operations security, endpoint security, anti-tamper/supply chain risk management, software assurance, and anti-counterfeit practices.

Manages, as a Security Control Assessor Representative (SCAR), all Assessment and Authorization (A&A) steps and activities for identifying, implementing, assessing, and managing AISR-T cybersecurity capabilities and services in accordance will DoD Instruction 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT).

Defines system-specific security control baselines by selecting and tailoring National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 security controls based on the Confidentiality-Integrity-Availability (C-I-A) impact levels of the information and information systems, and by applying any applicable overlays in accordance with Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253.

Develops RMF Security Authorization Packages for review and approval by the cognizant Security Control Assessor (SCA) and Authorizing Official (AO) in order to obtain Interim Authorizations to Test (IATT), Authorizations to operate (ATO) and Authorizations to Connect (ATC) for Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance information systems, platforms, and networks.

Processes, manages, and maintains all A&A documentation during the entire information system life cycle using the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) or equivalent dynamic online knowledge database used by the customer, to include the System Security Plan (SSP), Security Assessment Report (SAR), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and any supporting evidence and analysis.

Performs continuous monitoring and addresses changes in threats, vulnerabilities, and predisposing conditions in the operational environment.

Ensures that the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system (IS), working in close collaboration with the information system owner and the information system engineers.

Serves as a principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of an IS.

Has the detailed knowledge and expertise required to manage the security aspects of an IS.

May be called upon to assist in the development of the security policies and procedures and to ensure compliance with those policies and procedures.

Plays an active role in the monitoring of a system and its environment of operation to include developing and updating the security plan, managing and controlling changes to the system, and assessing the security impact of those changes.

Ensures systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of IAW security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization package.

Attends required technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management) relative to assigned duties.

Reports all security-related incidents to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).

Conducts periodic reviews of ISs to ensure compliance with the security authorization package.

Serves as a member of the Configuration Control Board.

Formally notifies the ISSM and SCA when changes occur that might affect system authorization.

Ensures all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.

Travels to CONUS and OCONUS sites to perform site assessments and attend technical exchange meetings, conferences, and working groups.

10+ years experience as a cybersecurity professional working with products and tools related to network systems engineering, vulnerability assessments, or information systems risk management (DoD experience highly desired)

Experienced in managing information systems under the DoD Risk Management Framework or the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework

Experienced in applying cybersecurity industry standards and best practices to manage information systems (NIST Special Publication 800 series, ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards)

Experienced in the DoD vulnerability management process; and compliance standards such as DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG), and Common Criteria/National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Protection Profiles

Experienced in project management (PMP certification desired)

Proficient in the English language

Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree in Computer Science/Cybersecurity/Information Management desired

DoDM 8570 IAM III-level certification (CISSP or equivalent)
