The Deputy Federal Security Director is the second highest-ranking Transportation Security Administration (TSA) authority and one of TSA's highest-ranking officials. As the Federal Security Director's Deputy, you will be expected to assist him or her in leading a large, complex organization which is charged with planning, executing, and operating security services at the airport. Your responsibilities will include direction of a highly specialized workforce that includes baggage and passenger screeners, civil aviation security specialists, law enforcement officers, technical staff, and management support personnel. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the level of the work of this job that has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required for successful performance. You would typically gain this experience by working within this field or a field of work that is closely related. Such experience includes managing programs related to corporate security, aviation security, force protection, law enforcement or equivalent security/law enforcement programs. This includes directing staff activities, managing within established staff levels and budgets, and providing leadership to a diverse workforce.
As a basic requirement, applicants must demonstrate progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level managerial capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined in the "How You Will Be Evaluated" section of the Job Opportunity Announcement. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the equivalent of the GS-15 grade level in the Federal service or its equivalent with state and local government, the private sector, or non-governmental organizations. Failure to meet this basic qualification requirement and all executive and technical qualification factors automatically disqualifies an applicant.
DRUG TESTING:
You must pass a pre-employment drug test. In addition, you may be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing during employment.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
This position requires a TS/SCI (Top Secret/Secured Compartmentalized Information) clearance that must be completed prior to appointment. You will be subject to a 5-year periodic investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Employ JIEDDO-COIC tools and processes to populate the knowledge base and to corroborate data.

• At the Afghan training sites, Instructors will receive, set up and hand-receipt student equipment (computers, printers, scanners, etc), set up the classroom for instruction, teach DOMEX courses and provide train-the-trainer instruction to Afghan instructors.
• Instructors will also travel to other locations as required to provide instruction or conduct DOMEX briefings for ANSF and Coalition personnel.
• Three different modes of instruction may be conducted:
o DOMEX Intermediate Course: An approximately 8 week course for designated ANSF personnel covering intermediate DOMEX functions will be taught at predetermined training sites. There may be as many as 6 courses scheduled in 2012-1213.
o DOMEX Executive/AKA Primer Course: A 2 to 3 day course for Senior Officers and MOD/MOI officials introducing DOMEX principles and emphasizing the value of the process. This course will be taught in Bagram at the ACTA or other designated locations. There may be as many as 6 courses scheduled in 2012-2013.
o DOMEX Executive Brief: A 1-hour briefing included as part of a regular US operations overview for Senior MOD/MOI/Coalition officials and officers. This briefing is also conducted in Kabul or other designated locations. This brief is typically conducted every month by a current cadre, but the contractor instructors under this PWS may be required to present this brief on occasion.
• The ultimate goal is to have trainees reach competency to train their personnel.
• Able to coordinate/instruct with local hire Dari linguists.
• Read a variety of unfamiliar subjects, relate ideas and make inferences, and rarely misunderstand the intent of the writer.
• Converse professionally in formal and informal situations, resolve problems, work with unfamiliar topics, provide explanations, offer supported opinions and hypothesize.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and using a computer and devices.
• Possess a strong sensitivity to sociolinguistic and cultural references.
• Read between the lines, follow unpredictable turns of thought and offer reasoned analysis.
• Write in a variety of prose styles about varied topics with rare errors.
• Tailor language to fit an audience.
• Provide comments, corrections and recommendations for translated material.
• Provide supervision for the Afghan DOMEX instructor, assess progress by direct observation.
• Will report milestones to the PM of transition points.
• Must conduct demonstrations and tests to ensure user acceptance of the instruction.
• May at times coordinate out-side experts to guest instruct.
• Changes, work out-bugs and rework the class design, schedule and SOPs being instructed as required.
Requirements:
•Must be a formally trained Certified Digital Forensic Examiner at an accredited state or federal organization.
•Possess at least one of the following certifications:

•Have a minimum of three (3) years experience working in an ASCLD/LAB or ISO accredited laboratory conducting the full range of digital forensic described above.
•Completed at least two digital exams within the last year.
•Assist in collecting, processing and providing reporting of forensic evidence; to include evidence chain of custody, handling and transporting procedures.
•Adhere to all evidence chain of custody procedures necessary to build legally viable cases for prosecution.
•Assist in the use of digital forensics in host nation court case prosecutions.
• Be able to work well in a team environment; possess excellent organizational skills.
• If necessary, willing to be proficiency tested prior to and during employment with I-3.
• Must be able to meet the following physical demands:
o Government requirements for medical fitness
o Work approximately 12 hours per day, seven days a week for extended periods of time; depending on mission pace.
o Attend pre-deployment training (general [location TBD] and job-specific [Landover, MD])
o Lift 70 lbs. to a working height of 48 inches
o General office and/or laboratory duties/functions
• Be willing to rotationally deploy to Afghanistan or Iraq for a minimum of six months to a year; and
• Be able to obtain, or currently possess, a US Secret Clearance (may also be subject to additional clearance vetting in-country) and US Passport.
